That's not really true, as there's plenty of people who try to unlock every character and other secrets they can get and it's pretty obvious Midway is aware of this, as they have the Krypt feature which had many interesting things...and maybe some "not so" interesting things 😬 . But unlocking secrets have been one of the popular features of the MK games, so much that it sparked rumours and it's definitely not just blood or violent related stuff. It's everything.

Unlocking secret characters is something MK fans do just so they can either kill that character or kill people with that character.

I wanna rip Liu Kang in half with Darkseid or Doomsday.

I think it IS a big deal. Seeing that I really can't find anything to hate about Supes, I really don't understand how this sudden hatred for Supes came about. He's the most influencial comic book, a cultural icon, and the most famous superhero ever made. What is there to really hate about him?

I'm not saying you have to like Supes but I don't see how could someone take their dislike for him to the next level. I'm sure if Supes was real it'd be quite the opposite 'cuz everybody'd love him 'cuz he saves people. However, he's not real and many find him boring & would like to kill him in a videogame. Not that big a deal. Don't worry. This won't kill comicbook Supes & it won't erase him off of your DC vs MK game. The world will keep turning. Also, iconic != good.

That's still nonsense though. You wanna kill a fictional character because he's boring? That's not a good reason at all and that's exactly what I'm getting at. You don't think it's a big deal because you don't like him but I think it is since it's nonsense. Prior to this game being announced, some fans were only interested in the Superman : Doomsday movie just because Superman "gets killed by a Hulk-like figure". When this is all that people think about then you know they got a problem because the fact is, there's nothing to really hate about him.

Oh and what's wrong vibrating his face molecules or his powers? I don't see what's wrong with that.

Then why not get Street Fighter? Or DOA, or Soul Caliber. There are tons of other one on one fighters that are just as good at fighting systems as MK. But they don't have blood and gore.

cos i like the fighting system... i never got into doa, i did like soul calibur, and tekken, and street fighter, but ive always liked the simplicity of mortal kombat...

saying that the only reason people play it is the gore is unfair to the people who worked their asses off to bring out each game imo...

If you're one of those players that just like to regularly perform fatalities whenever you feel like it, that's alright, hence "killing a character out of entertainment". That's NOT the same thing as killing a character (like Superman) who you just happened to personally hate for no reason.

Hey, I'm a MK fan myself so I got no problem with the games features. It's how people use it to take their unreasonable hatred out on a certain character...who just happened to be Superman.
