😂 How about if it's just a severe dislike? Are you saying it would be OK if it was somebody other than Supes?
Nah, Superman just happened to be my main example since that's all I mostly see. This also goes to anyone else like Superman.
A severe dislike? That's kind of the same thing.

According to the dictionary, a strong dislike is hate. But anyway, any ideas on which Flash they're using in the game? I really hopes it Wally. I think he's more iconic than the other Flashes.
it looks like wally, just with a few modifications...
and i can't wait to play as superman, personally...

I hope you're right.
And yeah, I too can't wait to play as Superman. I also can't wait til E3 where they'll have some game demos. I won't be up there but I can expect alot gameplay videos on Youtube.

Originally posted by SmashBroI'd say Barry Allen is more iconic, but they will most likely use Wally. They should lose the armbands though

Okay read what I said earlier:And also, read what I said AFTER what you quoted:
If you're one of those players that just like to regularly perform fatalities whenever you feel like it, that's alright, hence "killing a character out of entertainment
". That's NOT the same thing as killing a character (like Superman) who you just happened to personally hate for no reason.

You think that's crazy enough? You got fans actually WANT to see that happen. I've been to so many boards and some fans have been saying some of the most disturbing things I've ever heard. They say stuff like "cool, I get to finally kill Superman" or "cool, I get to finally rip Superman's head off". It's ridiculous and is very unusual behavior.

Then why say something like this? They're killing him out of entertainment. That's why I'm going to kill him and that's why a million other people are going to kill him.
Note that in those examples, it had "I get to finally rip Superman's head off" or "I get to finally kill Superman", indicating that it's something they've always wanted to do and that sounds more like out of personal hate than just simple "entertainment". If they wanna kill a character JUST out entertainment then why is Superman is their main example? I mean, you can kill any character in the MK games so why is this character (who was never in a MK game prior and yet SOMEHOW manage earn the hatred of some people) is constantly being brought up? It's because it's personal hate.

And uh... I suppose that SmashBros thinks that Joystiq is a bunch of sickos for looking forward to beating the shit out of Superman?

Well in those quotes they didn't say they hated him did they? No, you're making assumptions. Maybe they were saying that because he's never been in an MK game before, they aren't going to say. "Hey I finally get to rip out Scorpion's spine" are they? No, Superman, he was a definite character, and maybe they've just always wanted to fight superman, maybe see the villain win for once. Who knows. Just because they want to kill a character doesn't mean they hate him, how can you honestly tell the difference between them doing it out of entertainment or hate? Do you have some kind of sixth sense that no one else is aware of?
For one thing, I'm using common sense. Prior to this, before the game was even announced, people hated Superman and they were even excited over the Superman : Doomsday movie all because "Superman gets killed". I've talked to some people who generally hate the character, meaning it didn't just come about when he was in this game, it means they've always hated him. And it's not an assumption, otherwise they wouldn't have said "I get to finally kill him". What else would it mean? Also, you could have used a better example. The reason you don't hear people say that about Scorpion is because he's already an MK character, thus the option to kill him was given since the beginning so that's nothing new.

Nah, just a few of them. But this still just proves my point.
Liu Kang is made of fail and AIDS and will be ripped in half by Darkseid when I get this game.
Seriously, the gore is the ONLY thing special about MK. Soul Calibur, Tekken, Streetfighter, and(sometimes) DOA have better gameplay and SC has a better story by miles, but in MK you can punch a niggas head off. MK's fighting engine is overtly simplistic to be honest.

There's alot of things special about MK, not just gore. The gameplay, while not the best, is still pretty good. It is at least a little bit more detailed than the previous games (prior to MKDA). And the storyline is actually one of the reasons why MK is so popular. I always hear people concerned about what happened next in the storyline or which ending is canon. I don't quite this about Soul Calibur. That's not to say that the SC storyline is bad but it's just that the MK storyline keeps people more interested. Also, in this game, they said they're improving the engine, which is why they're using the Unreal Engine so you can expect some improvements here.
Oh and why do you hate Liu Kang?
