Yep. Played 'em all up until DA. DA was ok, but gotold real fast. Didn't rush out to play any since 'cuz I expected more of the same & the thing I liked most about DA was undone in later games

There are some undenying differences with SNK. You don't hear people calling their games "SF ripoffs" nowadays and despite the similarities, people don't even consider their older fighting games as such either.

I guess what I meant by "wannabe" is that they initially got the idea of making their fighters from SF. Being a wannabe doesn't make it a bad game. I love KOF and MK (moreso MK than KOF).
Marvel Ultimate Alliance wasn't bad. The Incredible Hulk (not the movie game) wasn't bad either. "DC Ultimate Alliance" was bad.
The worst games Marvel has ever licensed (not counting movie games, they all suck) was Marvel Nemesis.

DC did have some good games or decent games, like Batman Vengeance, Superman: Shadow of Apocolips and more. Also, don't forget DC Universe online. Also, the point I was making was that none of the Marvel games attracted much attention after the MvC series. It's not like people can say "ooh, cool, a Marvel game, I know this will be good". None of them have reached that kind of popularity afterwards.

Capcom made Marvel look great. Other than that they've only had a handful of games that were worth playing. I'm not sure if Midway can do the same for DC.

Well Midway themselves had made some good games besides Mortal Kombat so I'm confident in them. Heck, I still play Total Carnage. But yeah, Superman 64 was horrible and I really wanted to play it so you know I was dissapointed. It even got it's reputation in video games as "the Superman curse". But I really hope that this game would bring some good attention to the DC characters in video games.

Batman, and some of the other darker characters fit in, but Superman and Flash both look very out-of-place.
I think DC vs. Capcom would have been a better idea. Marvel vs. MK even sounds more feasible. And we all know Marvel vs. DC would have been ridiculously great. But DC vs. MK sort of irks me.
