i really don't get why people are annoyed about the merging... what, we're supposed to respond the same way to a new villain who's completely unrelated to one of the worlds? shao kahn and darkseid have a history in their respective worlds, they're the big bad boogeymen where they come from...
having either of them, or a merging, is much better than some no name boss who doesnt even register...
and it wouldnt be half as fun when i heat vision him in the face, either...

1. Yes it does. Even though it's a fusion of both Shao Kahn and Darksied, it still creates a different character.
2. Seeing that Shao Kahn and Darkseid are kind of similar in some ways, I think it's a good combination.
3. Do you honestly think it's easy to combine to physically different characters?

-Numerous articles are saying that it was done to procure a T rating
-Midway themselves have obviously sent numerous builds to the ESRB to obtain said T rating
if anything, midway can easily put a code that allows players to unlock the uncensored stuff, as they have done so many times before

Alot of articles only site Kotaku though. It's strange that we're getting this from all but the official source.

Yeah, they are important but to be honest, even though I'm a MK fan, I didn't really care too much for Fatalities. I did think they look cool and I did sometime wanted to try them but not everytime I win a match, like most people do. That's probably why it doesn't bother me that much.

1. You could have used a better example than that, as there's plenty of merged characters. There's Vegetto, Thanoseid, Super Soldier, Dark Claw etc. But that doesn't mean they're not different from the two characters they're a merger of.
2. They're god-like beings from another world, in which they rule and they're both on a quest for great power. They also have a certain ability that could kill almost anybody, unless they're not protected by something (in Darkseid's case, the Source and in Shao-Kahn's case, Raiden).
3. All you compared was the height and built. Is that all?
And it's not just the gore, it's the blood and the Finishers too, in which this game still has. And I sure wouldn't say it's a terrible or mediocre game, as it looks like it plays much better than the last three games, which I believe most people are more concern about.
