I still think it's retarded that they toned down the awesomness that is Mortal Kombat. If somebody toned down a Halo game, would you still want to play it?

Well, it'd be nice to have some comic relief from the Mortal Kombat side.

well.. I dont know if its any consolation.. but considering the MK games before this... this game looks like it just might have what it takes to save the series.. and thats saying alot IMO

I've finally got over the rating. But I'm still mad that the ESRB went and ordered Midway to block the awesome fatality that is the Joker's. I've seen a lot of movies that had people getting shot in the head and they were in PG-13 movies. PG-13 is like a T rating so what the heck ESRB?

Joker's gone gory before in the Arkham Asylum comics. Gettin rid of a fatality that went and hyped up fans and having Midway to tone it down because of the stupid ESRB is just adding more fuel to the fire.
I knew the fatalities would be toned down to some extent to some of this, but not this much. It's absurd. They had might as well not even bothered adding them in at all, but I guess they didn't want to alienate too many of the MK fans. lol

Yeah. If you read the comics like Arkham Asylum, you'll know that DC at heart can be just as gory and gruesome as MK, so it doesn't make sense to make this game rated T, other than for marketing purposes, or to reach out to more people.I knew the fatalities would be toned down to some extent to some of this, but not this much. Agreed dude. DC can get gory but because of DC being mostly read by friggin nine year olds, they went and toned it down. Honestly, the kids should've sticked to Marvel or whatever.

most likly because DC just didnt want have superman getting ripped open. and because DC games are usally rated Teen. Just because something gets rated teen doesnt mean that its only audience is littler kids.
While alot of kids like Dc. Most of them arnt little kids since alot of the fans have followed the comics for many years.

Halo 3 and GTAIV are M rated and look how big their sales are.
True statement, but those are bred for violence. Parents who are anti violence purposely avoid those games. Parents will freak out if they see Batman decapitate some *******, or Superman rip the spine out of some woman.
