So my home was burglarized today....

Today Raeann, myself, and our kid went to a birthday party for my baby cousin a few towns over from where we live. We did the birthday thing, and left for home after the party was over. When I walk into my house, I immediately noticed that my Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 were missing, along with all of the games that go with them. Funny enough, though, not a single thing else was missing. My laptop, my digital camera, all 500+ of my dvds, and Raeann's jewelry were all left untouched. AND, I might add, my Nintendo Wii and all of the games were left untouched. So, basically, someone broke into my house and stole only my PS3, Xbox 360, all of the games that go with the systems, and all of the accessories like the Bluetooth headset, the PS3 camera, the PS3 remote, and the 360 camera. Someone who has been to my house before did this. That's the only explanation I can come up with. Why in the hell would someone break into a house and only steal video game hardware? Unless, of course, that someone knew that I had these consoles and the like.

The sheriff's deputy came to my house and I gave a list of what was taken, along with an incident statement, and also dusted for possible fingerprints. Right now, I'm venting my incredible anger by drinking beer and posting my f*cked up story here.

Luckily, for the sake of myself and my family, we weren't here when this occurred. At least nobody was hurt, and I still have my Wii and games. Still, I'm out $1,500, at least, in video game hardware.

I'm so angry I could f*cking cry.

People are pieces of shit.

Sorry for what happened to you Impediment but at least none of you were harmed and they only took $1,500 worth of your belongings.

Hope you find out who did it.

You know what else pisses me off? Yesterday I bought GTA 4. Now it's gone. I never even got to enjoy it.

someone broke into my garage recently and stole all the electrical components to one of my 4 wheelers. I know who it was but can't prove anything.

I hate people who steal, they are just too lazy to earn the money to buy their own stuff so they take from other people not caring that you worked hard to get that stuff. I hope they catch the bastard.

He's got this joke about his apartment being burglarized. I can't remember how it goes, but he's hilarious.

See, the thing is I have extra money stored away in my savings account that I was saving for a "rainy day". Now I have to decide whether or not to use that money to buy back all of my shit that was stolen, or just wait and save up more money to buy it back again.

It's actually kind of jarring to experience this for the first time. I've never been burglarized. It kinda takes away the last shred of security you have for your household. I mean, a man's home is his castle, but it shouldn't have to be his fortress, you know?

Like everyone's said, that's terrible man. I had my car broken into once at the mall and they took everything. My iPod, jacket, a couple dvd's, etc. More shocking things happen to people, but still, it was... well, shocking.
