Indeed. I'd like to say that I "win" some of these, but it is almost never true...because if I do get a "one up", it is manipulated or discussed to a further point and used against me. Doing this has really helped in the business world when we are working on proposals or new processes. I'd like to think I've gotten better at it.

Dominant people are usually characterized as confident and assertive. Aggression is a sign that one has lost control of the situation and trying desperately to regain it. A truly dominant person would have no need for aggression.
