That Thing That's Supposed To Be the BatMobile

PLEASE tell me we are getting a new one this film or in the third one. I can't put up with that abomination and the Joker's makeup. I will accept that first one as Batman's first car but not the final batmobile but if this series is a trilogy as many of us are predicting that means the third one is going to have a killer Batmobile right? A girl can dream...

There are allot of things that bug me...one of them was the batmobile....another was Bale as wayne/batman........bale is so much not bruce wayne that the movie was disappointing to me....but he is a good actor and to some people the best wayne/batmen.......with a batmobile i agree they should have kept a similar look to all the rest...and not went with a...whatever that was.....it cant act so it should be something we immediately associate with batman...(the scene with com Gorden using it was so bad... it was not funny)

as you know Selina,I saw Ironman saturday and got to see the previews for the dark knight and sadly,as you saw by now Im sure,it seems we are stuck with the look of the batmobile. 😠 I thought for sure they would try to improve the imiage of the batmobile and make it look more like the one in the Burton films but unfortuantely no.I think the look of the batmobile and the look of the joker are the only two things we have ever agreed on about the Batman movies. 😄 I was thinking to myself when I saw Batman Begins-okay the batmobile wasnt all that great looking in the beginning in the comics either so maybe they are following the comics and plan to make it look much better for the sequal.I thought SURELY they wouldn't leave it looking the same and looking like a tank AGAIN? sadly,I was wrong and they are. 😠 oh well,I DID adjust to it eventually and later was able to accept it,I NEVER will be able to do the same with the look of the joker on the other hand however. 😠 I agree with you that the batmobile in these films is an abomination but like i said,I got over it and have adjusted to the new look and have been able to accept it.again,that will NEVER be the case with the new look of the joker though.

I don't think there is nothing wrong with the way the Batmobile looks. To me it is perfect.

btw Selina,you said you mentioned you were going to see Ironman today.If you could,head on over to the movie discussion section and post your review of the film on the Ironman poll thread there okay? I'd like to hear what YOU thought of the movie. 🙂

I like it, too...

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "perfect", but I think it fits with these early stories well...

By the end of the third movie we'll have a new Batmobile (since the Tumbler gets trashed in TDK)

I will be seeing Ironman later this week Mr. Parker and I will post a review. I meant to see it sooner but things got in the way.

I'm fine with the Tumbler being the lead up to the Batmobile but that vehicle as Batman's car is pretty unacceptable to me. The Batmobile is iconic. It needs to look like something awesome and the Tumbler doesn't to me.

yeah the tumbler doesnt look iconic.Heck even the batmobile from the 60's show looked much better than this abomination and had that iconic look. I only hope with the news that Bat Dude reported on it getting smashed up means they will rebuild one and make it at least somewhat close to the one in the Burton films in Batman 3.okay,I'll pop in on that thread next week and see what you post there.after you see ironman and assuming they show the dark knight trailer there which would very surprising to me if they didnt,tell me on my joker thread,what you thought of the trailer for the dark knight as well.

The "Light-Cave" is the COMPLETELY lit area where he keeps all his stuff in TDK...

Since when does Batman keep his suit, car, etc. in a room with a ceiling pretty much MADE OUT OF LIGHTS?

I like the Batmobile.

It's mechanical build is much more mobile than the other's, and it doesn't hurt that it was built for the military. 😉

I didn't like the Joker's make up though.... 🙁

I think the Batmobile just isn't as cool the way it is currently. Batman had THE super hero car. Like the Batmobile is an icon in itself. I just wish this one looked more like the old one

Maybe not but they have gotten the IMPORTANT things right in Begins that is imperative for a good Batman movie which they didnt do right in the other films.Casting someone who LOOKS the part and has the right physical build of Bruce Wayne-Bale-check,not done in the first two Batman movies or in Batman and Robin.Having Gordon be a significant character and a presence in the movie-check-Begins delivered on that as well,having the ORIGIN Batman movie be mainly about Batman instead of the villians-check-Begins delivered on that as well.Batman not murdering people to bring them to justice-check-Begins delivered there as well.Showing his true martial arts skills and how he can handle many goons at one time-check-Begins delivered there as well.Most importantly though,a good story with lots of actions-totally imperaive for a Batman movie-check-Begins delivered THERE as well.Since they did so many things RIGHT in Begins that is imperaive for a good Batman movie to be made,then there is no reason whatsoever why they couldnt have by at least THIS film,to have given Batman fans a Batmobile that makes you say-oh cool when you see it. When your looking at this abomination of a tank on the screen the whole time,thats just not something I can say.
