Anyway, Omega was only powerful (his power seemed absolutely nowhere near Galactus's though). He had slowed reactions, and Spider-Man only needs to cover his eyes with any substance. Hell, Warlock could have busted a load in his face and it would have had the same effects.
Either way, it sounds ridiculous, but it really isn't.

What weakened State are we talking about here? Thanos during annihilation confirmed that he only feed enough energy to Galactus to keep him alive (most likely to prevent Abraxas to come calling) and Galactus still destroyed at least three Solar Systems. So how far down is Galactus going to go before he has lost so much energy that he cannot defeat The Fallen One who he grapped, defeated and transported to Thanos.

Hmm yeah that's true. But you can't ignore the flip side, and the flip side is that if G wanted thanos dead he would have been dead long ago, way earlier than when thanos got the cosmic cube, the IG, or the HOTI. Thanos didn't get the cosmic cube right away...if G wanted to he could have ended the titan right there back in 1978.So basically, if you're talking about who can kill who first....Thanos is dead before he even learns of a cosmic cube.

The point is Thanos is craftier than Galactus who didnt even come after Tyrant when he knew he was still in existence and still wanted his ass. He also let the Fallen One live time and time again.
Omega was defeated and taken off guard by a lot of powerful forces in this story. Bran already named a few.

Also even though Galactus physical apperance sometimes reflects his given powerlevel we know that this isn't always the case, as shown most recently in Annihilation and then in the new Nova Comic.

Which is untrue, Thanos directly stated that he was during Annihilation feeding him only enough energy to keep Galactus alive nothing more, and yet Galactus wipes out three Solar Systems, also that is not the only incident where we know that Galactus was larger then usual, during Rome the Space Knight he manipulates his height to that of a Sun, Size to a Abstract is meaningless, though sometimes Galactus height can be used however that is not always the case, also Galactus size before and after the explosion isn't that different.
Thanos didn't save his ass, Thanos maked a cold hearted Calculation and detonated the nukes at the same time as the Planets collied at that point of time Galactus well being couldn't have been at lesser concern to him. He stated that in his opinion Galactus had a 60% chance of survival. Which was deemed acceptable because if the plan failed to stop Hunger it wouldn't matter anyway.
