The second use of the word "safe" in smaller text was to show a trailing off into thoughts as my written thoughts about my thoughts during the time of the story show that I am trailing off, almost convincing myself as I am witting the text that it was making me safe. I thought that much was obvious and I didn't even give that a second thought to how it would be received. My bad?
