Even massive amps don't seem to help him much - which is just sad 🙁
He should be at least as formidable as the Lizard, power-wise --- is he? Hell, no.
Unfortunately, but Creed still wins more times than not.

Ironically though, that was one of Scorpion's more impressive recent showings, since at least Spiderman 2099 had to resort to rewiring a bunch of killer robots to win.

They even had, in canon, Spider-man 2099 mention that future historians recorded Scorpion as a "minor annoyance" for Spiderman (616) during their fight.Ironically though, that was one of Scorpion's more impressive recent showings, since at least Spiderman 2099 had to resort to rewiring a bunch of killer robots to win.

You referring to this?
If anything, it's giving props to Scorpion saying those who call him a minor annoyance never actually faced off against him.
Around this time, Scorpion was getting embarrassed to varying degrees by half the Spider-verse: Spidey-Ock, Miles Morales, Spider Woman, Taskmaster, Lizard, Venom, etc. The 2099 historians were pretty accurate, but Spidey 2099 was just unlucky and ran into a special suit.

Keep in mind, Scorpion is in a one-time, amped up suit from Alchemax there. Spiderman 2099 has never met Scorpion before, so he thinks this is the norm. The increased performance doesn't match what he's read in history books, but his history books were likely referencing standard Scorpion.Around this time, Scorpion was getting embarrassed to varying degrees by half the Spider-verse: Spidey-Ock, Miles Morales, Spider Woman, Taskmaster, Lizard, Venom, etc. The 2099 historians were pretty accurate, but Spidey 2099 was just unlucky and ran into a special suit.

I've lost the track of how many times Mac got a "new" (often looks the same) battlesuit that was supposed to solve all of his problems. With his superhuman physique, the suit should be just a bonus, the icing on the cake... not the "omg it's almost Sentry-level and I still got my ass kicked smh" bs.
Indeed. Sometimes Scorpions wins, but it's more like a luck or simple PIS in his favour. He is still too much of a jobber.

Scorpion should be physically strong enough to beat Sabretooth into a pulp without a power-suit.
Creed recovered quickly from several punches in the row from Class 100+ Langkowski.
Then there's his fight with Essex's Superman analogues.
Mac can't overload that healing factor, unless Creed is just sitting there and lets him do the work.
...
Even then, knowing Gargan and his luck, he'll end up hurting himself.

But going from showings, Creed wipes his ass with Mac's face.
It's a shame Mac can't even reach Lizard's level after all these years.
He should've kept the bulky suit and "Scorpion Sense" --- then again, if the goddamn symbiote didn't help him improve his performance (on the contrary, it made it worse), nothing will.
Maybe Ed Boon doesn't like Marvel having a "Scorpion" of their own and bribes writers to have him jobbing 😂 But even pre-1992, you could always count on Gargan getting on all fours and bending over.

Creed also taken a pummeling from enraged Amadeus Cho's Hulk, and next just smiled and got up. Without adamantium!
And Creed wasn't even knocked out. Even if Scorpion is stronger, he isn't really KOing Creed, nor turning him into a punching bag too. Besides, if Mac Gargan fights Creed without his suit, he is utterly screwed (lol, he still screwed, anyway).

Are you talking about his fights with "The Children", those Sinister creations that have a patchwork of powers? Didn't he get his ass kicked and barely escaped? I'm going on 90s memory here, so bare with me if I got it all wrong.
Creed's also had lower showings, on average, Scorp should be physically strong enough to beat him down and KO, at least for a bit.
But as noted, he won't going by how he's consistently written to under perform and he a joke.
Maybe the MCU can do a proper Scorpion...

Yes, The Children.
Killed the first one, got close to offing another; then exposed the group to the horrors in his mind... no shame to "cheat" against such numbers:

On average, Mac couldn't handle himself even with massive amps of different sources in last two decades.
Spider-Man's barrage of punches failed to stop Logan from smiling --- Creed is even tougher than that, here's the scene mentioned by Alex:

Wouldn't count on it.
Because MCU already did Scorpion --- you need to re-watch Homecoming.
Sadly, they've decided to go with the Ultimate Universe version (Miles' villain):

He's my favorite spidey villain. Too bad he's underused.
