Yes, those are the romantic days when people still tried to go out and get people to make sounds with. Very unlike John Iprefercrunchingbabiesinmycozystudio who prefers to just do the effects on others. I think the only time he uses something of his own was dropping his collection of toe nails for the sound of walking rats for the famous scene in "Brains for Breakfast' where the rats come and crawl into Beryl Pleasestaplemytitstogether ears to eat her brainstem.

Nobody eats a brainstem like Pleasestabplemytitstogether.

Even Fiona Violentlyhassexwithchainsawtileveryoneiscoveredinbloodandsexfluids at the height of her fame when working with Peter Van Runningoverpeopleatthelevelcrossingforfun, would have struggled to convey as much sincerity on screen as that....

My favourite film with Pleasestaplemytitstogether is however not a gore thriller but the comedy 'Power Drill that Cavity' by Harris Itsfunforeverwhenyourcheeksareslashed.

It bought warmth and family comedy to the genre for a couple of installments....A criminally overlooked phase of horror.

It wasn't until 1993 and William Knifingthemallintheirsleepanddancingaroundnakedintheirknifedoffskin's magnum opus: 'Chronicles of a Nun-Immolator' thata the darker tone returned....and how..!

That was a welcome return to the dark tones. I think one of the major revelations was the totally innovative minimal musci scor by Alan Playingpianowithmybleedingamputatedfingers.

Knifingthemallintheirsleepanddancingaroundnakedintheirknifedoffskin
was wise pairing Playingpianowithmybleeingamputatedfingers
with John Fryingforhoursafterpissinginanelectricblanketthenexploding on that score.

His modal tonal pallet and choice, rhythmic phrasing was subtle and delicate in the lead up to the goat detonation scene, adding emotional nuance, then embracing a tonal cataclysm, his viciousness complimenting the beautiful strings and eerie Hammond organ arranged by Playingpianowithmybleedingamputatedfingers.

No wonder he's director Hangingupsidedownbymyballsonredhotpianowire's favourite composer... the guy knows his stuff.

And who would be the one to try to tell HIM hes wrong?! 🙂

(With marked horror classics of his own like "Treadmill terror: Fury at the gym", "Cannibal escalator II", "Whore mutilator", "Arise! Satani!", and the terrifying "Catholic Church: The documentary".)

Speaking of 'Cannibal Escalator II', easter eggs fans will be able to spot the original movie's Lead actor Lewis O'Hangshisballsonatyrerotatingatspeedsequivalentto100mph in the crowd in the scene where the 767 lands completely and neatly in Luke's arse, in addition to Charlie Violentfistrhythms and Seamus Phillip O'Spankspankspankspankmashspankspank who worked lighting and production respectively.

Critic James Bellyexplosionaftertoomuchspaghetti always claimed he was on set and that 'Hangshisballsonatyrerotatingatspeedsequivalentto100mph did the stunt himself.

It never really worked though.

I think the only real and succesful go at a non-CGI enhanced mutilation scene is the one Sean Nothingslicesahumanheadlikeahelicopterrotorblade when he had John Ilikeneedlesinmyeyes taxi that f-15 at take off speed towards Alice Havingherlipsforlunch and insert the tip in her ear... I never would have believed that a whole human brain could be exited through an ear if I hadn't seen the making of video.

I can't believe they left the lens caps on all six cameras for that shot.
What rotten bad luck! Lucky those on set were there to witness that legendary breakthrough in advanced dispatchment techniques.

I hear that Havingherlipsforlunch's role will be played By Hilary TitsnailedtosomeC4anddetonatedataltitude in the sequels, due to that successful F-15ing out of Alice's brains...

Oh the touching drama set in the lives of a community of cinemagoers in 2007? They waited twenty years for the return of their screen hero Ohio Smith and it is set over the evening that Ohio Smith IV finally came out and deals with the extreme, yet natural reactions to that event.

The script is dynamite and some of the rumoured cast are legendary.

James Forkinelectricalsocket has signed on as Dave Edwards, the Cineplex owner.

Duncan Swingingingfromanooseunderalonelybridge plays Geoffery, the janitor who saw too much.

Tom GougedtheeyesoutandstuckC4intheeyeholesandblewitup is up for the role of Mayor Tom Willis.

And the rumourmill is buzzing to the effect of Christina Drivemycarheadfirstintoaswampofhungeralligatorsinflorida being picked to play the tragic Rita Smith, the lady who enjoyed the screening.
Brains For Breakfast's Beryl Pleasestaplemytitstogether plays her carer, Judy.

In addition to these big names, newcomers

Special effects are gonna be a big part of the budget. Not only are they filming the scenes for the movie-within-the-movie, but some the more eleborate suicides and then the eventual mercy-nuclear-detonation of the cinema and town will take some serious money to render as in the script.

It should be a classic.
