Actually, that angle was in the Darabont script.

Out there in the infinite different multiverses, there is a world where that script got made into the released film and all celebrated.

And in it we sit round in a thread praising Spielberg and Lucas and admiring their unbroken records of epic quality moviemaking.

Is there a decent SW PT in that universe?

Hope so.

Yes Gentlemen, there is.

Also Terminator saga ends at T2 there.
Alien 4 was set on earth and didn't suck.

James Cameron's Transformers was every bit as good as you'd hope.
And it was G1 all the way.

And Robocop 3 was actually good?

It kicked ass it was essentially the same script, but Weller's return along with Verhoven's direction making the tone even darker than the 1st, it was a winner.

Are the Avp movies better?

They couldnt fail to be, being almost entirely set in Acheron, with no human actors in a pre Alien timeframe, (A bold move by returning director Ridley Scott) where we got to see the amazing origins of the crashed ship in the 1st movie, and how the Space Jockey was supplying Predators with the eggs when the accident happend, which was good because they were heading for Earth. The violence was intense and amazing and the Predators didnt look like they were little stubby midget cartman versions of Predator, in that dimension.

And i bet The Movie movies (Scary, Epic ETC) are actuallly funny?

Absolutely Hysterical and they are filmed with the utmost respect for the material that they pay homage to.According to fans and critics alike, Scary Movie III was actually as highly rated as 'Wrath of Khan' is to us..!!

You should see their more violent, grittier, and brutal version of "High School the Musical". (Slayer, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Sepultura and Mr.Bungle being the providers of the soundtrack.) It was a great call giving Scorsese that picture to direct.

And I'm betting Spielberg said no to it. Part of that long process getting him, Ford & Lucas to all agree on the story.

That and massive amounts of crack, of course... 😛

Spielberg loved it actually. It was Lucas who said no.

But Spielberg coulda walked at annnnnnnnnnnnnny time.

True, very true.

But the lure of the scent of our collective cashpussy was just too damned strong.

George lures them all in.

But Steven stays.... rubbing his hands gleefully, for all we know.

Prolly... we'll see what happens to a dreaded Indy5... The worst thing that can happen is we get another great South Park episode.... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
