I agree with survival of the fittest but only if the animal being hunted is gonna be eaten or used in some way.

Not like people who kill deer just for the sake of putting it on your mantle piece along with a black polar bear and baby panda awehuhs

You could purchase it other ways that are better for the animal.

I tagged along with my friend when I was a kid and watched his dad go pheasant hunting. Anyway, the dad never shot a thing that day, and I was secretly hoping he wouldn't.

Yeah, I've read the entire thread. Presumably though you do actually enjoy the feeling you get when you kill something? I'd personally rather pay a bit of extra money, so I wouldn't have to see the creature die.

I wasn't aiming my opinion at you in the first place, I wasn't even aware you hunted. If you hunt for food, I actually think that is much better than buying meat, as you are actually relying on yourself rather than corporations.

Individual differences, I suppose. There are worse types of hunting, fox hunting for example; a lot of people do it in my county, I just can't get my head around it.

You ended a life, you stopped a animal from seeing its young etc.

You ruined a life basically, animal or not.

I agree, plus if everyone hunted for their own food, it would be a disaster is so many ways.

I try to support capitalism as little as i can, although it's very hard to do so living in London.

The only thing I'd ever hunt is cow and chicken since that's about the only meat I ever eat. So, basically it would be like shooting apples in a barrel, not so much fun.
