I didn't say you were an idiot....basically

Not a real quote, but one you expect me to stomach, based on your provisional response.

Okay, so I misunderstood your accusation. Is that any different than the majority of our relationship? You said nothing negative about my political choice, and yours is clearly the more intelligent course to take. Why are you divorcing your own fanatacism in regards to Mrs. Clinton? I welcome your examples of Mr. Obama speaking down to his supporters. I would also ask that you measure them in regards to the elitist outrage posed by Mrs. Clinton's outrage over them.

If you think for one moment that she wouldn't say exactly the same if freed from the political restraints of the statement, perhap she could overwhelmingly present her case to my mind. Mr. Obama's soundbite, made in this very city, are true! 100% And Clinton, who speaks to the same outraged audience, knows it to be true. ****ing rednecks cling to their guns in the face of overwhelming ideological propoganda, which Mrs Clinton seems to propogate. But her response is to call him an elitist who will leave the average white voter behind? If her candidacy wasn't based on speaking down to people and placating their ignorance, then why is she doing so well among the clearly ignorant? White, gun carrying, shat upon, outraged at their own ****ing descisions for president? Maybe the retarded are not fit to choose their own candidate for President. God knows, that was ilustrated by the last two presidential elections.

I wonder what so many Puerto Ricans saw in her.

According to polls and comments, they did well under her husband. Also, Mr. Clinton said she would make PR an actual state.

It's about time. American Samoa and Guam should be as well.

The *rimshot* comment is apparently up for debate.

The statehood comment is totally on par with my belief. The sad part is that there are actually americans out there who think that upseting a nice round number like 50 is a national sin. Not to mention that most of PR speaks spanish and that implies a red state knee jerk reactin of intolerance. I, personally, would love to die knowing america had 3 more states than it had when I was born.

Plus New York has the highest population of Puerto Ricans of any state, so she already had visibility within the Commonwealth.

All Hillary fans can't understand normal thinking.

Just kidding Strangelove.

I'm ashamed of some of these peoples' behavior, believe me.

I think one of Hillary's first mistakes was hiring Howard Ickes and Mark Penn, they ruined the whole thing for her; it was them and the inner circle (Hillaryland, I've heard it called) that suggested she run it like a coronation. They weren't expecting Obama's momentum and therefore weren't prepared for it.

Watching the Daily Show right now, they showed a clip of a ranting Hillary supporter. Crazy old white lady yelling about Obama being an inadequate black male, and he wouldn't have run if a woman hadn't first. Pretty funny actually.

That reminded me of an article that I read in a magazine a few days ago (Time, I think). Very interesting.

Obama's Huge Debt to Bill Clinton

Then it's the argument that PR prospered is valid, or that NY has more PR's than any other state in the union?

I'm not quite sure what you mean; I was just adding a reason to your two as to why Hillary won so big in the primary.

From CNN Political Research Director Robert Yoon
NEW YORK (CNN) – After a rush of superdelegate endorsements Tuesday, Barack Obama is currently a dozen delegates away from the 2,118 required to claim the Democratic nomination. The Illinois senator has 2,106 delegates in the latest CNN count.

There are 31 pledged delegates up for grabs in the remaining two contests (Montana and South Dakota on Tuesday night). There are 179 superdelegates remaining.

Constantly updated delegate totals are available at the CNN.com Election Center.

I did not state that Barak Obama speaks down to his supporters.

I stated that his focus on a call for change and unity in Washington while providing few details as to how he will lead the country (As recently as March, he had delivered no policy speeches.) no less approaches his supporters as if they are idiots, then if he did speak down to them.

Oh yes, I'm surprised no one else pointed it out yet; Hillary Clinton has signaled that she will suspend her candidacy this Saturday, and will endorse Obama for President. From what I've seen and read, she made this decision without negotiating anything from Obama.

poe, if candidates spoke to the full capacity of their vocabulary and intelligence, and laid out their groundwork in detail, over half the people listening to them would not understand. they dumb down their rhetoric to reach a more broad audience. its not to insult us. in fact im sure if it was the other way around they would be shooting themselves in the foot, as they would be labeled 'eletist'.

its not that they think we're all dumb. its just...they know that an incredibly substantial portion of registered voters are in fact dumb.

i heard she would do so on friday. well, i hope she campaigns for him with the same vigor and enthusiasm in which she did for herself.

Clinton finally drank her cup of STFU.

"Sen. Hillary Clinton thanked supporters in an e-mail Thursday and pledged to help Sen. Barack Obama capture the White House after eight years of Republican control.

Clinton plans to suspend her campaign within days, her campaign said Wednesday.

1 of 2 Clinton plans to thank supporters in person at a Washington D.C. event Saturday, her campaign said, but she got a head start in an e-mail the campaign sent early Thursday.

"I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise," the message said."
