Darkseid's most powerful was using the ale in dotng, but I believe Morpheus has the ability to summon the life equation and did in a battle and beat a demon using the ale, anyone know the full story about that?
A year of prep for darkseid....this is where i am undecided, i agree with most darkseid would loose head up,hmmmmmmm, would some say countdown and DOTNG-would be a year prep for darkseid?....i am trying to gauge it, lets say superman never distracted the source....could the source have summond orion? and if not would darkseid have succeded?
I am undecided.....i think its a good match though

Your probably right, i just am curious to the fact that the source eluded that superman distracted darkseid, and it looked like if there was no outside interference, that darkseid was going to win....and would that indicate a year prep for darkseid?

I don't think a year prep would do it maybe as long as prep as he had against the Source but he was scheming for centuries
Here we go, the first scan shows Darkseid talking about Mister Miracle knowing about the ALE and sometime soon he will have it as well.
Second scan Desaad giving Darkseid the Soul Fire Project serum, which will give Darkseid the full knowledge of the ALE.
Third scan Darkseid asking Desaad to go get the Soul Fire Project serum
Fourth scan Darkseid awaiting the battle and talking about the Soul Fire Project.
First scan Darkseid awaiting the battle
Second scan Darkseid taking the surem and he bursts into flames only the dead New Gods souls powers keeping him alive.
Third scan battle taking place and cutting beyond reality into the bleed, watch as other dimensions fly pass...
Fourth scan Darkseid thinks he won and joins with the Source.
First scan the Source sits back watches events and talks with DS
Second scan Superman attacks as he was allowed to be a witness to the battle and the end of the Fourth World.
Darkseid takes him out and The Source brings Orion back from the dead to kill Darkseid.
The Source talking about the prophecy that is suppose to happen and will.
First scan Orion and Darkseid battling.
Second scan is the Source asking how Darkseid does not burst into flames having knowledge of the ale and he states "the Combined Power of the New God's souls staves off that fate".
Third scan the Source telling Superman "all that needed to be done Has been done", Superman looks over surprised he freed himself and the Source says " I am The Source".
Darkseid leaving and going to Earth, there we see he's given up the ale because of losing the New God's powers and returns to normal and battling Olsen for them.

I know that you were talking to Galan, but... actually in Preludes and Nocturnes, "A Hope in Hell" pg. 20, in the sandman, Morpheus and the demon Choronzon, who had his helmet, faced off in a shapeshifting contest which ended with the demon tranforming into the anti-life equation, saying: "I am Anti-life. The beast of judgement. I am the dark at the end of everything. The end of universes, gods, worlds..., ... of everything." Morpheus responded by turning into "Hope". He won.
So with that said, I don't think that Darkseid can pull this off. They seemed so casual when they were doing it. And more importantly, Morpheus was depowered... and Darkseid struggled against the source... Darkseid at his best may be a high end abstract, but Morpheus is a concept.
