Odin was not using sufficent power to kill him 🙂
Odin wasn't holding back though. He tried and failed to kill him. Common sense tells us you don't hold back when trying to kill someone.

Wow Odin's blast on Thanos was one of his better combat feats you have to be kidding???? Thor's handle gungir blast better then that.

It was clear that when Odin used two hands to blast Thanos He rock him back. When Odin used Gungir Thanos walk thru it to grab the spear. From the fights point of veiw Odin's 2 hands did more damage then Gungir.

Odin battles with Seth and with infintiy were some of his best COMBAT FEATS!!!1

Thor's never ran through a concentrated blast after the two have exchanged blasts, blows for a pretty good amount of time. The fight started taking it's toll on Thanos when he pulled out gungir and Thanos ran through his blast.

so if you were killing a bug or ant you would go all out and use all your power to do so?
no. you use whatever sufficient force you thought was neccesary .
odin underestimated thanos durability.

I would kill the bug no problem. I wouldn't end up failing to kill the bug while he charged through my attacks. I wouldn't salute the bug as a great opponent.

Odin 10/10

I think it's laughable that people claim that Odin wasn't trying or out for the kill. I don't believe he was giving it his all but certainly without question putting forth a good amount of effort and wanted to kill/put down Thanos. This is clear on panel evidence and to say otherwise is a joke. Was Odin winning sure he was... Would he had won had it continued... more than likely. However, we've seen stranger things happen in comics and fights turn on a whim. Point is, Odin was pissed and trying to put Thanos down and time after time he couldn't. Period

People refuse to give Thanos the credit he is due.

thanos is not skyfather level, or else he would be in the council of god heads

He doesn't have a pantheon hence he's not in the council. he does things on his own anyways and isn't considered a noble being so why the hell would they invite him anyways?

Thor's never ran through a concentrated blast after the two have exchanged blasts, blows for a pretty good amount of time. The fight started taking it's toll on Thanos when he pulled out gungir and Thanos ran through his blast.

And you miss the point.
Just b/c Odin uses Gungir doesn't make he blast any stronger.

Right before Gungir comes out Odin two handed blast sent Thanos back.
"according to you as the match when on Thanos was getting weaker as the battle happen so there for the gungir blast must off be weaker hmmm"
Thanos then proceed's to walk thur Gungir blast."but wait according to you the fight was taking it's toll on thanos hmmm"

Point being uses Gungir doesn't mean he blast are more powerful

Common sense tells use you can hold back when somebody is weaker then you why because why would you tax yourself and go all out.

Then we the fact that when Odin goes all out and taxes himself he has too go into the Odinsleep. Go example is the fact that Odin used more power to froge stormbreaker then he did fighting Thanos

Try? The whole thing was contradictory.

👆

Though to be fair, Odin has to work a little bit for it.

He said Odin wanted to kill him and was putting a good amount off effort into it but he wasn't giving it 100%

ohno

and there goes my reputation...

scream

Odin still wins, might have to work for it little more But it's Odin all the way. Thanos can't really do anything to Odin, every blast he unleashed on Odin didn't even phase him. Truth be told Odin was taking it easy on Thanos and was suprise how resilient Thanos really was, Odin would still beat him down and more resourceful than Thanos and Odin has the feats to prove it.
