What if Odin kept attacking thanos when Thanos dropped in their first fight?
Lets say, this argument that you are having wouldnt be going on (Odin cant drop Thanos). It was pretty clear that odin wasnt even giving 50% of his power against Thanos because again, his loved ones was right beside Odin and Thanos when they were fighting.

OOOKKKAAAYYYY, his showing against galactus in no way should make you think that he can beat odin. Maker? I forgot or dont remember the comic you are referring to so I'm not going to comment on that one.
Yeah, I agree, Thanos would have recovered BUT it would have taken a while for that to happen since Odin had a thousand options under his belt. From what I seen of the ending of the fight, Thanos was laying down, so why didnt odin press his attack?
Why would Odin call Thanos weak? Thanos is far from being weak and I dont think mere blast would drop thanos, Odin would have to put some power behind it and THATS the reason why I think Odin complimented him, because thanos didnt fall as easy as Odin THOUGHT that he would have. Basically, Thanos showed high durability.
That still doesnt change the fact that Odin>>>Thanos.
