Oh I agree!
It could have just as easily been canon than if it were not.
I always argue the point of SG actually having the ability to beat Anybody!
Her limits haven't been set yet. So its a free for all.
I just see it as a joke showing.

It's a joke character and I don't see any proof marvel recongizes this as canon for the real Thanos.

Just something to vent.

If you believe it's a joke showing, then take the joke. It's not meant to be serious (canon or not). It has no effect on Thanos. Also funny how in your own words, you're arguing about a joke.

And how does 'not being canon to the real Thanos' make any sense? Does that mean it's canon, but it's a clone (unsupported, like how you claim it's not canon because Marvel has overlooked it)? Or is that just another excuse to try and get people to believe you?

BTW, if it was a clone, it was a clone who had the power to enslave an entire universe... which means it's a little higher than real Thanos anyway... which again, does nothing to diminish Thanos in any way. Just hype the shit out of SG.

I believe marvel doesn't recognize this as being a part of Thanos' history.

So, you mean it's a retcon/clone?
Or do you mean it's from an alternate reality?

I would think it's a clone based on it's behavior and who they have fooled before.

I just don't ever see marvel recognizes this showing as legit to his history.

So, it's a clone? How do you feel on this clone having the power to enslave a universe then? And would this put him above regular Thanos?

When SG gets a monthly, it will happen. Doom recognizes his defeat from a 'joke issue' as well, and that was from many years ago.
Just because it hasn't been biofied, that doesn't mean it's not canon to the character. Not every win/loss is recorded.

Although, now that I think of it, I wonder what SG's bio says...

I think any clone put in the right direction is a threat to the universe given time. Look at what his clones have done so far in infinity abyss, thor run, and celestial quest.

Doom's always been a poor man's Thanos.

K. Anyway...
Would Thanos clone with an artifact with enough power to enslave the universe be above or below real Thanos?

That wasn't the point... at all.

Depends on the artifact.

What if it has enough power to enslave the universe?

Actually, just re-read it, and Uatu says she saved the multiverse...

So .....Sweet! SG killed a Thanos clone who was about to destroy a universe, yay for SG. A clone roughly on the same level as its creator.

too bad its not a clone but the real thanos.

funny also how a "i believe statement without any basis whatsover > comic" 😛

WHO CARES EITHER WAY. SG BEAT THANOS. SG is a joke character and is undefeated and always wins no matter who she faces. who cares

yea bringing that up is a lame way to say thanos cant beat his opponents...should never be brought up in a debate if you ask me

Quan does, as seen by his refusal to admit that SG beat the real Thanos.

Regardless what Quan is saying.. he's defending against something HE DIDN'T bring up. Somebody else brought this into the debate, which is where the problem lies first and foremost. SG would utterly trash this team or any number of people added to this team It shouldn't have been brought up in the first place and that was my point.

Thanos is just Darkseid without the fashion sense.

You don't have to defend him just out of solidarity for the fact that you're both Thanos fans. Both Philosophia and Skoksugi are Superman fans but Phil don't try to defend Sho's stupidity.

He isn't defending Thanos' loss to SG, he's denying it ever happened by claiming it was a clone.
