We don't even know what Gungnir does, or how much it amps him. For all we know, it's not for power ampage but energy conservation (As in, why waste energy on Thanos, when he could put him down while conserving his strength through more efficient power focusing.)
Now, if he used the scepter of power, THAN he'd be serious. "Immeasurable power" is how he described it.

What can I say? Thanos is a cockroach that can take some punishment. But he's a cockroach nonetheless in comparison to Odin.

If you read Odin's words he wouldn't respect someone he just crushed. Odin wanted him dead. He didn't die. He didn't even take a nap. The point is Odin respected someone he viewed as a great opponent. he didn't view Drax as a great opponent or the Surfer because he actually crushed them. When you crush someone you actually beat them otherwise you're not applying the word correctly here.Thanos completely dominates Odin at 50 and even beats him at 100 percent.
Thanos deserved respect because he didnt fall as easily as the others, that still dont mean that he was a challenge or let alone, a threat. I dont know where you get the fact that Thanos is>Odin when he isnt. Every feat that you mentioned of Thanos after his fight with Odin, Odin could replicate these feat and do it a lot better. Shooting Galactus a couple of feat, Odin could do that easily. Fighting the Maker, again, Odin has fought more powerful being than the maker that Thanos fought and Odin has destroyed said Galaxies while fighting more powerful beings that the being that Thanos fought.
You have shown nothing or suggested anything that Odin himself is unable to do. You gave no proof as to why Thanos is>or = Odin with these said AMPS that he have. During the Odin and Thanos fight, Thanos was nothing but a punching bag, a durable punching bag but thats it. He wasnt a threat, he didnt cause any harm, the only thing he proved was that he was an annoyance.

Cockroaches can survive nuclear fallout.
Thanos can survive Odin slapping him around for a bit.
This doesn't mean cockroaches > nukes or Thanos > Odin, though.

No, he couldn't and it's speculation either way.
Who has Odin fought more powerful than the Maker? I don't think Odin could blast him hundreds of yards it wasn't just a couple feet. Please be serious for a moment.
Odin only started to gain the upper hand when he resorted to pulling out a weapon and Thanos took a concentrated blast for a duration of time. That's 'the only reason he appeared damaged and Odin still didn't win.
Like odg says Maker is more powerful than Odin because she ko'd Thanos whereas odin failed to do so.
Odin doesn't respect annoyances he respects great warriors. Surfer was an annoyance whereas Thanos was that guy who Odin couldn't beat despite trying to kill him.

You can't even admit that Odin beat Thanos in their "fight", though.

How about this, if Thanos is worthy of Odin, show me during their fight an injury or a scratch that Thanos put on Odin. In order for someone to be a challenge, they at least have to injure the person they are fighting. Show me SOMETHING that makes you think Thanos>Odin or Thanos=Odin during that fight.

Originally posted by carver9Thanos' intentions were different than Odin's and despite him wanting Thanos dead he was unable for even a ko. The only reason he damaged Thanos was due to his weapon so with them just exchanging energy blasts no one was even getting hurt at this point so it would only be fair if Thanos were to want Odin dead.

Anyways, if full powered Odin was the bare minimum to match Thanos, do you really think Odin would've been so certain his empowered items would allow Thor to prevail over the clone?
Whether or not you believe the clone was equal or greater to Thanos is irrevelant. What is relevant, is what Odin thinks, as he directly fought Thanos and measured his power. He felt sure his son empowered with only a portion of the Odinforce could defeat The Titan, which suggests really wasn't really going all out in their battle.
And why should he? The Odinforce isn't inexhaustible, and there's no sense wasting power on one threat, only for another threat to come along and be exhausted.
Or, maybe he simply felt like playing. 😛
It's not like there isn't examples of Odin leading an army against hordes of weaker enemies, instead of wiping them out with a gesture.

I give up. I just give the f*** up.

This right here is why your credibility here is pretty much where it is.
That battle ended with Odin, unscathed ready to continue the ass kicking, and Thanos looking like he just got his ass beat. And then you have the audacity to claim it was a "draw". I guess if I invade another country, get my ass kicked by the king and manage to stay conscious and alive before the fight is ended, I can brag to my friends about how I stalemated the monarch.

But he didn't kill Surfer.
That alone says he was holding back.
Originally posted by JakeTheBankThe battle wasn't over and Odin was out for Thanos' death. Thanos wasn't there to kill Odin only defend himself. He taught Odin a lesson. Odin had more than enough time to beat him especially if you think he is so outclassed he would have done so.

Originally posted by JakeTheBankit was a point loss for thanos (several knockdowns), but there was no actual "win". odin would have conceivably won if there wasn't any interruptions, but then again thanos had the "can't die" thing going *shrugs*.

thanos lost with an "*", he for sure wasn't winning though.
anyways, thanos has prep and a thanosi already proved that he can get the better of odin with it
