You do realize that black holes can be the size of galaxys right? You also realize the intense forces at work when being inside one and "pulling" your way out of one. I'm sure you know this right… and thus your speculation about a galaxy level explosion being harder to deal with than pulling yourself out of a massive black hole, is purely unsupported speculation.

Black Holes in comics aren't as tough as their RL counterparts. Lots of characters have survived black holes including Lobo who IIRC actually uses them for travel purposes and doesn't even get scratched by them.

I agree. However, that isn't true in all cases... in some cases as you say they appear to be nothing more than a nusance... in other cases they are a big deal that could threaten then universe. So while you're correct, that doesn't make the incident in question any less impressive when some are big deals. Furthermore, Thanos was a bloody mess and we've seen many showings of his against strong foes or forces with nothing close to that amount of damage. To me that speaks towards it not being a weak black hole.

Thanos is smarter than Odin and can use his shielding as well which has taxed mighty Galactus.
