Shitballs, Germany - Italy final it is then.

Side-note: Arshavin; woof! What a player! Hope he doesn't get taken down to the dogs with a team like Arsenal, though.

PS. I don't know what 'taken down to the dogs' means.

Yeah, Arsenal has all intentions to buy Arshavin. A shame we won't see Arshavin and Hleb together- since Arshavin is being bought as replacement for Hleb.

i'm hoping for Russia to pull off an upset.

i'm calling it now, 3-1 Russia wins 😄

Well done there, spot on💃 and well done Russia. Absolutely brilliant attacking football, if they start taking their many chances they could win this tournament .

I notice all teams which played a "B" team or a weakened team in thier 3rd group match are out. Spain did the same maybe they will also suffer a form dip. Is this due to lack of momentum/rythm or what? you´d think the players who have had more time to regenerate would have an advantage, obviously not.

Van der Saar was brilliant, it would have been a smacking if he hadn´t done his bit.

I definitely felt bad for Van der Sar, but whatcha gonna do.

I feel this tournament has, so far, been a bit more exciting than the World Cup, but I'm already getting excited for the new Premier League season.

Torres and Ronaldo proving to be the best players in the world, again.

By again I mean, not.

I'd like to see Italy win this.

Italy played weaker. Spain deserved it. Also, Italy haven't really shown any reason why they should get past. Oh well, boring game.

I am glad Fabregas scored the pen, but ultimately this just means more time for him to get tired out.

I think your being a bit unfair to Torres, he´s playing well & working harder than the other Spanish players except maybe Villa who keeps falling over for some reason. The Italians are good a pushing ballside, tightening the areas and destroying any attempt to build up, very negative I´m glad they´r out.

Cesc won´t get tired, he´s a young lad and only comes on as a sub.
Should be playing from the start imo, shows amazing oversight and maturity for a player of his age. As does the whole Spanish team really, other younger teams may have lost their nerve in yesterdays
stalemate situation.

Spain are the only group winners who came through, the rest are second placers.

They also showed how much they deserve to get past.

Torres hasn't done anything all tournament besides set up an easy goal and score a tap in.

That's probably it; losing valuable momentum.

Not weaker, just more defensively minded. They were missing a fair few players so they had to play like that.

If Russia win the whole thing, it would make me happy. Although saying that, I think only Spain could stop Germany from winning now. Can't see Turkey beating them, will undoubtedly be a good game though. And since when has Tuncay been so good?

B-because they played different anytime this Euro?

A shame Tuncay won´t be playing against Germany, in fact Volkan, Emre Asik, Arda, Emre Gongor, Emre Belozoglu, Tumer,Servet and Nihat won´t be playing either!

I read that the manager´s thinking of using the 3rd goaly Tolga Zengin as a striker🙂

If they pull of a win with these problems then they are the true "come back kids"😮‍💨
(Lucky Germany again)

I find that sentence rather confusing, are you drunk?

We both know they're not lucky.

Yes, I know you're doing that to "bait" me or "wind" me up, but just consider whether that's a mature thing to do on a forum. Intentionally set out to wind someone up, purposefully.

Not really, Germany are going to have the easier road to the final since beating an uninspired Portugal. Loosing against Croatia not only woke the team up, but gave them a nice path to the final.
Turkey are a normal team as it is, now with half their top players missing they´r going to get a bit of a thrashing don´t you think? (Mind you going by my previous prediction attempts, Turkey will probably do the thrashing.)

Germany are a top team no doubt and deserve to be in the final the way they play.

When are you going to start criticizing "Van Persie" who do real well didn´t he. Torres would be my prefered striker any day.

To the best of my knowledge Van Persie has two goals to his name, one of them a very good one.

How many has Torres scored besides the one tap in that he barely reached?

Statistically Van Persie has had a more successful tournament than both Torres and C. Ronaldo. Unless Torres scores more than two goals, it will remain such.

Furthermore, Torres hasn't played anywhere near as good. He hasn't had any inspired moments. He's set up a goal simply, scored one other. What else? Van Persie has two goals to his name, one of them a good one, as said before. The other was a belter that the keeper couldn't even stop when he tried. He was a very positive influence coming off the bench, unlike Torres, who looks like he was just told that his mum had been shot when he gets subbed off (Becoming quite a habit).

So sure, you can sit there with the very mature intention (Not) of winding me up, and still be wrong. You can sit there praising Torres over Van Persie, who has had a more successful tournament until Torres does something better. You can show one animated gif, because then I could pop up with a host of Van Persie goal videos and ggifs, like the volley against Charlton, Zico turn belter against Inter, or the goal against Blackburn where he beat about three men, and ask you if Torres has ever done anything as good.

The answer would be no, because he's a £26 million bottle job.

Up to you.

Goals arn´t everything, work rate, assist, effectiveness 1 on 1 all play a important role in this team game.

And of course effectiveness & success, lets see, who´s playing in the semi´s, Torres or Van Persie?
