Russia had been the better side, still might be, but that's what I mean.

All it takes is a second. I'd hate to see another team deserving of the trophy go out (On penalties worse so), especially after it happened to Argentina.

Now Russia are down to 10 men who are incredible on the break. If Russia pull this off before penalties they deserve it.

Well, Russia definitely deserve that win, what a twist.

Such a shame for Holland, but I guess that proves they really are big game bottlers. Bottled the big game. Best team they've had in a LONG time, don't think they'll get a better chance any time soon.

The Dutch were a shadow of what they were during the group stage. Either way, great game from Russia, they did deserve the win.

I know it's of no use now, but that one ball before the red card was still in play. It shouldn't have been a red card but a free kick from that distance could have meant a goal. But as I said earlier, the Russians deserved a win tonite and as much as it pains me to say this, Holland didn't.

It's weird how different teams play from game to game though. The Holland from the Group rounds should have taken that one easy.

Anyway, the tournament is pretty much open for Germany to take it. Unless Italy start playing like they did two years ago, I don't see anyone stopping them. Not even this fantastic playing Russia. Germany won't be as sloppy in the back, and definitely won't give Russia the freedom they had tonight.

Not surprising at all. Holland looked good but beat a shit France, and were fortunate with decisions against Italy. Russia on form, as I said, can beat anyone, and couple that with the fact this was a big game.

I expect Spain to go the same way tomorrow.

Also, great refereeing decision. Not often (ever) they admit they were wrong.
