I'm talking 1922, when the empire was at its largest, and yes, Canada was no longer ruled by the British parliament. India was self-governing but with a British military presence, and Australia was around the same point of Canada.

lol, so in 1921 however, as all this land was still under british rule, Britain had a larger empire

EDIT: point of order, canada is still run by Britain.

Also, I'm thinking its not until the 40s that real independence started for Canada, or even Tredeau...

It was all ruled by the same monarch-making it an empire.

Nevermind then. Mongolia is still the largest CONTIGUOUS empire though. 😛
