Actually, the guns were putting some of them down, which is why you see there arms, etc. being blown off. But when you have an army of beings who don't feel pain, and can take a lot of damage it's obvious you will be overwhelmed.

Blade threw one punch and cracked a skull of a Minless one. I'd be willing to bet a few more punches and his head would come off.
