With few exceptions, almost every incarnation of Supes, knowing that Hulk is a sentient being, would try to communicate with him first and be diplomatic. WWH would brush him off, probably smack him off the continent for emphasis. Supes comes back being semi serious, and knocks the not-so-jolly green giant in return. WWH figures he's got a serious fight on his hands so he jumps back in. Here, I say Supes goes for a speedblitz, and WWH counters with a thunder clap. With his super hearing, you know that's gonna hurt him, and Hulk'll start pummeling from there.
Hell, I could probably write out a whole battle scene if I felt like it, but this is more to make a point that I don't see this as being a complete shut out in any way. Hell, if Hulk could figure it out, I'd say he can take down Supes via pummeling combo'd with thunder claps to keep the Man of Steel from getting his bearings, which WWH might do. Unlike Savage, Planet, or even Brucey, World War Hulk doesn't mess around. That being said, Superman is just that. Superman. Holku's gonna have a hell of a time in this fight.
It's been a while, so I don't remember the fight all that well, but if Sentry was giving Holku free hits, that just makes him very stupid. It wasn't a stalemate, either, Sentry went down, Bruce didn't, and reverted back an instant later with even more power than when he'd been duking it out with Sentry.
Next time you have the power to go toe to toe and KO a being with the power of ten thousand suns, maybe you can get to laugh your ass off, hmm? 😉

A million exploding suns. Yes it does matter who beat who. There is a difference between Billy Bastson fighting Teth Adam and Captain Marvel fighting Black Adam.

Thanks for the correction, makes even more of a point that Hulk beat him out of power up mode 😛. Also, what scenario are you referring to in that case? Both characters fighting fresh in their base form? That would be different, sure, not to mention the fact Billy's a kid. Bob and Bruce are two full grown men, so that gives it a bit more credibility.
The fact they were fighting in those forms because they had beaten the super snot out of each other kinda doesn't change the fact they still fought. If Banner was free, he could have let Bob wail on him and end it right then. Why did he keep going? Because Banner/Holku were in the same mindset, they were more in unison than they usually are. So, Banner beating Bob = Hulk beating Sentry. Maybe I'm crazy to think of it that way, but hey. *shrugs*

Hasn't it been established that Supes never really goes all out from the beginning of a fight anyway? In this match up, it may leave him feeling it in the morning.
You might notice that I haven't actually went out and said that Holku could win this fight. I may be a fanboy, but I'm willing to admit when he's looking at poor odds.

Not really. Fact: Bob has never shown his million exploding suns power if it exists. That situation was pretty much whoever gets the first punch in as you saw Banner fall right afterward.

🤨 I's confused. Didn't Reed say that Bob was going all out against Holku? Like I said, it's been a while since I read the story, so I could be flawed in mah arguments, such as not remembering that Banner dropped after Bob did. Thanks for clearing that up. Bob still dropped first, though. 😛
