Goku has more feats in Db than in DBZ, when he is a child, Toriyama wanted to do DBZ about Gohan, but fans dont let him..
Now from the moment we know his real name "Kakaroto" or "Kakarrot"
is all DBZ.
Is mostly the Saiyan and Namek Saga that Goku have feats.

Well, the enemy could felt it, and atack him for that... makes sense
He tried 3 times, against Vegeta he hide to do it so, only a minimum fraction was used by krillin.
Against Freeza and Buu he also try taking care that they dont notice it.

He did, but just a very small part. He can't take all their energy...for them to be drained they have to send their energy, like the Earth people did in the last fight against Boo.
