😂 yay messy rooms...

"What do they want us to do on this assignment? Where will we be going?"

"While Beseedra did not notify the Republic of its troubles with the pirates, it seems that these pirates had not gone unnoticed before. A Jedi Master and his Padawan was sent out to investigate their activities in Republic space, about two weeks ago. The Council has lost contact with him and we are to seek him out.

"But first, we have to return Palpatine to Naboo."

"And that's why I was surprised we weren't going to do any investigation about the pirates while on Beseedra...I didn't think they would have only gone for one planet." Rianna replies.

"Where were they when the Council last had contact?"

"This sector of space," Myraline says. "We will begin our investigation after safely delivering the Senator to his homeworld."

"I see." Rianna says, starting to become impatient again. She's also still slightly worried about her dream.

And so Quinn gets the ship ready! Myraline informs him of their new task and he agrees to fly you two around without hesitation and without payment. Odd for a fringer pilot to agree to that, Rianna!

One last act of good faith from Beseedra is that they will send two droid starfighters with you as escorts. They are hyperspace capable and will follow and defend your vessel. Palpatine is delighted, but hopes that the pirates won't attack again.

Hmm, yes, that is a bit odd. But then again, Jedi are generally good friends to have...

Well, not much I can think of to have Rianna do while on the way to Naboo...

We're off! The Last Chance takes off and leaves frigid Beseedra behind, two droid starfighters tailing it and ready to take on any potential threats. But it seems that the pirates really have buggered off and Quinn makes the jump to hyperspace just fine.

You feel uneasy, Rianna, but everything appears to be fine! Palpatine is taking a nap, Myraline is meditating, Quinn is piloting.

Rianna is determined to figure out what is making her feel uneasy, and is going to try meditating for a bit.

(she hasn't yet gotten to the point where she's completely given up on that sort of thing yet 😛)

You cannot focus, Rianna. Whenever you drift off into a meditative trance, you feel the starship jolt and it brings you back.

Is there anywhere on the ship where she'd have room to be able to practice some of her saber moves?

Not really. But, you know... the ship shouldn't be jolting like that. And come to think of it, it isn't.

Then why would that be happening every time Rianna tries to focus and meditate? That's...odd.

You aren't sure. You very little about this kind of thing.

Well, there's another thing to add to Rianna's frustration...

She'll ask Myraline if she knows what could be causing it.

Myraline is deep in a meditative trance when you go bug her about it. It takes her a moment to come to, and then you explain what was happening. She frowns.

"It is possible that that is some kind of- " she starts to say.

But then the ship violently jolts and the both of you are flung against the far wall of the lounge as waves of blue energy surge and spread throughout the ship...

"Or we're under attack." Rianna says, regaining her balance after being flung at the wall. "I knew something felt wrong..."

She's going to go to the cockpit and see what exactly is going on. Whatever it is, she doubts it's very good.

You do not quite regain your balance, as the starship is now spinning about dreadfully and the gravity stabilizers seem to have gone out, as have the lights! You cannot see but for the glow of blue electrical arcs zapping across the floor and walls and ceiling, all of which are indeterminable...

"What's happened to the ship?!" Rianna asks nervously.

Suddenly, it all stops. The ship comes to a halt and the dim blue emergency lights flicker on. Traces of energy can still be found flickering across the walls.

"I don't know," Myraline says, pulling herself to her feet. She quickly moves to the door of the cockpit and presses the open button. It doesn't budge. "Quinn, can you hear me?"

No response.

Suddenly, there is an explosion. Followed by another. It seems to be outside the ship.
