Now able to act, Mr. Walking Weapon punches at you with the katars and xiphoids built into his hand. The blow is fast, a Quick Attack. A 17 is a certified hit; you do not manage to get out of the way, tired out by all you have been put through, and he cuts deeply across your side for 10 damage and a -3 penalty.

Though the penalty does not apply to your Riposte, you suffer a -2 penalty for taking a hit and then roll a 1. This just isn't your fight, it seems...

His Quick Attack means he is going again, performing a whirling Cut and Roll as he tries to swipe across your front with a vibroblade on the side of his hand.

Rianna will Active Dodge that, attempting to twist out of the way.

You bend back at the waist, allowing the vibrobladed sideways chop to pass over you as he rolls a 7, the vibrating blades making that metallic swishing noise as they swipe through the air...

Active Dodge whatever he throws at Rianna...

He throws another Quick Attack, barging into you and forcing your lightsaber upwards with one hand while jabbing below your guard with the other, leaving a small but painful cut across your thigh as you pull away with 5 damage. Death Check is passed.

Rianna is going to continue to try and land a hit on him, using Strike again.

Active Dodge and Riposte as defense.

You attempt your Strike, bringing your lightsaber back down in a light swipe meant to remove his arm, but the Walking Weapon retreats with excellent timing. A 2 is a miss.

However, when he tries to come back in with another blade-laden cut of his own, you interpose your blade between your bodies with a successful Riposte (20!). Your lightsaber sparkles across his chest... revealing that it is composed entirely of incredibly dense metal. His impressive Strength and high-grade armor reduce his damage more than the average being, but he takes 24 damage total.

Your move as the Walking Weapon steps back, anguished as your lightsaber triggers stimulus sensors in his chestplate. He glares fiercely, and you notice that he has only one good eye; the other is a replacement, glowing orange.

Also, please remember that it is Riposte OR Active Dodge, not both.

Since when? I've always used both Active Dodge and Riposte together and Ush never mentioned anything like that 😛

Rianna will follow up with another Strike, and an Active Dodge.

You know, I'll have to ask him, but it rather strikes me as using two Defenses for one attack, like asking for Reflection and Force Dodge. I'll poke him about it.

Riposte doesn't actually give you a defense, is the thing, if I remember correctly. It's more or less just a counter-attack.

Yeah, but there is a -2 penalty if you get hit, so you're all the more to gain if you have a higher defense. Hence why I think you can pick or the other. I think?

I dunno, I just figure that if the two couldn't be used together something would have been mentioned four and a half years ago 😛

I poked Ush about it and he agreed with me about one or the other. He also said it'd be kind of a waste of frames, as well. Anyways! On with the fight!

After that vicious Riposte, the numbers stopped loving you again. You roll a 2, a definite miss. At least he dodged this time, after you finally landed a blow on him. He sidesteps your blow, then unleashes a Quick Attack into your arm with swift chop from the razor-sharp side of his hand. A 13 is a hit for 7 damage...

You fail the Death Check as his blade cuts deeply into your forearm, causing you to drop your lightsaber as the vibrations of his weapon encourage blood to spurt from the wound and pain to shoot up your arm. As you stumble back, pushed to your limits, he retracts the katars and xiphoids and vibroblades into his arms, then grabs you by the neck of your robes.

Rianna will attempt to pull out of his grip on her, trying to ignore the pain in her injured arm.

"Ciira!" she calls out as she struggles.

He is vastly stronger than you are, Rianna. Effortlessly, he lifts you off the ground with one hand.

A blue lightsaber ignites behind Mr. Walking Weapon. Ciira charges out of the smoke toward cybernetic monstrosity, her elegant sword held high in preparation for a downward slash.

Mr. Walking Weapon simply raises his left arm toward her and uses his kinetic pulse concentrator. A wave of kinetic energy plucks Ciira up into the air and flings her backwards into a wall, which collapses from the impact and buries her in rubble.

Rianna will attempt to call her lightsaber back to her with the Force, grabbing it in her left hand if necessary, and cut herself free. Preferably by removing his hand.
