STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Learner

Palpatine gets his message out to Coruscant, informing them of the potential epidemic of the techno-virus and what has transpired on Beseedra.

When you get in touch with Coruscant, care of the old folks' home, you are received by Trorn, a scholar who represents the Council. He wants to know who you are and what you require.

"I'm Myraline Kiros' Padawan, and it's important that I speak to the Council immediately. It's involving the mission we are on," Rianna tells Trorn.

"Just a moment..."

Trorn takes his time shuffling through data-tapes before accessing one.

"The Kiros mission to Beseedra?" Trorn says. "Where is your Master?"

"That's...part of what I need to speak to them about..." Rianna replies, mildly uncomfortable.

Trorn takes out the data-tape.

"The Council is currently in meeting for deliberation on other matters," Trorn tells you. "I should not interrupt. Shall I pass on a message?"

"I guess I have no other choice? Well, the Council knows already that we found that Beseedra had been under attack by pirates and had assigned us to also look into the disappearance of two other Jedi in the area. Our ship was pulled out of hyperspace and shot down. Myraline was injured in the crash so I tried to find help, though I ended up finding one of the missing Jedi. We were attacked and captured, though," Rianna says, pausing for a moment as she's still frustrated at the fact that she was captured.

"I don't know where we are now, but Councillor Roch of Beseedra is the one behind this. He said that he had developed a virus similar to one from a Sith text and was going to use it to try and bring down the Republic, and the pirates were under his pay. Our pilot is dead, and he said that the other Councillors were dead and that he had tested this on Myraline as well."

Trorn sort of pauses after you give your report, then asks you to wait a moment before returning with Master Windu.

"Trorn tells me that you have a dire situation, Padawan," Windu says, his face knitted with confusion.

The communicator says you are transmitting from Beseedra, btw.

"It's not a very good situation, no, Master Windu," Rianna replies. She'll tell him what she said to Trorn, except adding that she believes that they're on Beseedra.

"I am...not exactly sure what I should do. I mean, I know that Roch needs to be stopped, and that I need to find Master Myraline, but...I don't know if the infection can be stopped or reversed, what it's done to her, what sort of back up plans he has or what other experiments he did...I've never been without my Master's guidance. I just know that this must be stopped immediately and myself and Ciira are the only ones in a position to try to do so right now."

"Listen to me carefully, Rianna. This situation is not something we would normally expect our Padawans to be capable of handling. If you feel that you would be putting yourself into danger beyond what you are capable of handling, do not blindly throw yourself into it. But I have confidence that you will be able to find a way through this. I am sure your Master does as well."

Trorn speaks to Windu from out of the hologram.

"Trorn tells me that Master Breshene and her Padawan are on Naboo, and Master Unduli is in the next system over. I will tell them of your crisis and the urgency with which they should attend to it. May the Force be with you, Rianna."

"I will do my best, Master Windu, and thank you," Rianna replies, though she is still a bit nervous and unsure about this.

Ciira can sense your worry and presses a hand against your arm.

"We just need to trust in the Force to guide us out of this," Ciira says. "I will do this if you will."

"You have to!" Palpatine says. "The Republic has no defense against this terrorist menace!"

"Fortunately for us - and unfortunately for Roch - we're not exactly ordinary Padawans, are we? He probably thinks we're dead by now," Rianna says to Ciira.

"You're much stronger with the Force than I am, though, and we'll have to rely on that. My instincts are stronger in a fight, which I'm sure we'll get into. So I say let's take advantage of any element of surprise we may have at the moment while it's still there, and let's go find Roch and figure out a way to stop this."

So, first of all, does Rianna sense anything? And I think we'll head back to the main room and then through the door that Roch and Jarko had left through.

Other than the general bad feeling about what may or may not happen to Beseedra, no. Nor does Ciira.

Basically, the door that Jarko and Roch took leads to a small hangar in which there were two experiment starships. Now there is only one.

Oh, lovely...

"If they've left, we've hit a problem here. I don't know how to fly a ship," Rianna says as they enter the hangar.

"...Senator, any idea?" Ciira says, helpfully passing herself.

"I'm afraid I am not very skilled as a pilot," Palpatine says.

"Well, that ship is our only way to go after them," Ciira says. "Maybe it has auto-pilot?"

"We'll have to hope so, then," Rianna says, approaching the ship.

The experimental starship is roughly similar in design as the Beseedran droid starfighter. Its wings give it a crescent shape, but it has a bubble in the center for a few passengers and its crew of one. You honestly have no idea what you are doing, but between the two Padawans and the Senator you at least figure out that yes, it does have auto-pilot.

Well, it's a start at least!

"If anyone else has any particular desire to fly this thing, speak up now..." Rianna comments as they figure out that auto-pilot exists and begin starting up the ship to go after Roch.

Palpatine volunteers to sit in the pilot seat.

The ship hums to life- it runs off of some experimental engine type, you have no idea- and slowly floats its way out of the hangar. It never goes incredibly fast, highly frustrating for what is supposed to be a dramatic chase. Unfortunately, you think it is going as fast as it can.

Annoying indeed...

Is the ship armed at all? And is there a way that we can scan/search for other similar ships in the area?
