Same here i liked the new Star Trek movie
and yeah, i don't know why critics say it's so bad
some of the reviews i've read on it they complain about the story how theres not much on it, they must fall asleep because there was plenty of story.

I was just wondering, how did Skynet figure out Kyle was the father, did they somehow figure out that kyle was sent from the future?
they probably have access to old police records, like Kyle's interrogation video, they know he was protecting Sarah, they must've figured out that John was conceived around that time, which made him the most likely candidate for being John's father

#Hardly any Connor on-screen?
#R-Rated?
#Skynet are trying to save humanity?

"Exclusive: McG says the TERMINATOR SALVATION DVD/Blu-ray will have 30 to 40 minutes of Deleted Scenes!"
"Terminator Salvation" DVD/Blu-ray is going to come with between 30 to 40 minutes of deleted scenes!
Now this would be interesting!

Too little too late, though?
Hey up all,
I finally got round to watching Salvation today. Whilst I thought it was OK, I won't be investing anymore cash in anything Terminator related.
One thing that bugs me about the T movies after T2 is the way people are trying to use the excuse that the timeline has been altered the future. Fair play but ever since T1 I wanted to watch the war that Kyle depicted in THAT movie, not the war that we are seeing now.
Still, I'm glad another Terminator movie came out, and I was really happy to see the "Arnold" Terminator make an appearance in this movie. All in all, Salvation is a better movie than T3 [in my opinion] but quite a way off from the first and second Terminator movies.

you didn't tell us your opinion about the film barand...
I really liked it. I went into the cinema not expecting much (thanks to the reviews) but was left actually feeling uplifted and excited. I wanted more. The ending seemed like a rush rewrite from the one we know was leaked (and probably was). I thought Christian Bale was good as Connor, although thinking back Nick Stahl's portrayal of the character seemed more human.
The film did lack the emotional punch of the first two films, but I felt invested in the characters.
As for the story; I thought it was a rather good, not great, but a high marked good story that left me wanting a T5 to happen as soon as. It's the only Terminator film that doesn't feel like a Terminator film, but I think as fans we should accept change and I honestly don't think this is a bad change or change for the sake of change. I'm hoping if things still go to plan then we will get that post Judgement Day future we've all been wanting - but - until then, this is a satisfactory starter.
Really enjoyed the 'Arnold cameo'. Things started to feel Terminator-esque, although it only made me wish it was the 'real' Arnold.
I thought the film was well paced and I recommend it to anyone.
Can't wait to see it again.
(thoughts may or may not change!... slightly)

The ending did seem rushed, and like I said previously, it felt like they were just writing it on the set rather than sitting down and working it out. While I didn't mind Bale as Connor, I think he should have played Marcus and had Worthington play Connor, though he might have been a bit young to play him.
Originally posted by barand1I hope the added clips show more of Kyle and Marcus together. I think they really dropped the ball on that aspect of the movie: having Kyle befriend a, well, somewhat of a machine, when he had so much hate and disdain for the machines in the first Terminator.
