I'm nearly as big a Venom fan as I am a Wolverine fan and I can tell you right now that everything you're saying is completely baseless. If Wolverine was outclassed by Venom then why has Wolverine managed to stalemate Brock 3 times out of 3 recovering before Venom on one of those occasions for a default win, and causing brock to resort to plot devices just to get rid of Logan,
AND the suped up telepathic, weakness resistant, self reliant Venom when he fought it too?
You are severly overrating Venom to a ridiculous degree while ignoring his consistent characterization either as Brock or Gargon, if either fought to their full potential this would have spite written all over it, but they don't.

Venom could grab hold of Logan (no reason why he can't) and just send tendrils up logans nose into his brain for a little snack.
I doubt you're a venom fan, cuz if you knew anything about venom, you'd know he'd be the last guy wolverine would want to go up against. At least against the hulk, logan may escape from him, with venom...no such luck for the little runt.
