Been playing that for 2 days and I must say I do enjoy it, I haven't played an RPG in a while and this one is decently executed to my taste.

jeez. you even talk in food.

Yesterday I unlocked the Duelist and Assassin specialization, and today I finally leveld up so that I could use one of them. Only to find out that the newest patch had an error in it that removed all the specializations you had unlocked. Way to go BioWare...

You can talk to Zevran again, I think. Not sure about the duelist however. It is not very hard to unlock the duelist one in a new save if it turns out you can not talk to her again, though.

None of them have the dialogue options available, BioWare are aware of it, ETA on patch, sometime after Dragon Age 3.

Ah **** you Alistair. Here I groomed you into the perfect tank and gave you the best gear I could find, and then you just take off like that....

you can avoid it you know... 😛

Well I was playing a good character, but not only that, a sensible one. I won't kill away one of the worlds greatest generals and warriors just because Alistair got a grudge.

Anyhow, just completed the game. Epic ending. I was lucky enough that my character, a rogue, got the killing blow on the Archdemon so I got that cool death animation up front.

Also, has anyone read the two novels? I've really enjoyed the story, thinking of picking them up. I guess they are written by Drew Kapershynsomethinglikethat, who also wrote the Mass Effect books (as well as the Darth Bane novels),

Yeah, I didn't get that animation. I assume your talking about the non-CGI death animation.

Correcto.

I didn't have a choice but to kill him by myself as all my party members died for some retarded reason. Also, I took the subquest where I had to kill the demon myself, anyway, to channel the spirit/power into the freak baby for Morrigan.

Same here, everytime I've played that end sequence (3 times) my party members are dead in gameplay. I guess it's the blue dragon breath that has an area of effect, slowly chops down your party's health.

I wish Bioware hadn't made the arch demons/great dragons so damn overpowered.

Did ya play on the PC?

I played on the normal difficulty setting, not easy, but with friendly fire turned off as it is standard for the console versions. Flemeth was a *****, and the High Dragon was also pretty hard, but the Archdemon was not. Morrigan was the only one to die once, and at the end I ran out of Lyrium Potions so Wynne couldn't heal anymore, luckly I had 104 Health Potions at the beginning of the fight so I just manualy took care of everyone taking one when needed. There were a few rough moments when I had to quickly go to heal everyone because of AoE, but none ever died.

I also took that subquest and it doesn't matter if your the one you kills the dragon in game. You still got the CGI death scene.

All my guys were alive and Alistair got the final blow. I still killed the dragon though in the cut scene.

Yeah it's the non-CGI death animation I am talking about, the one that happens before the game registers that the quest is completed.

I redid the archdemon three times, in order to get the all endings achievment, and in every kill, whoever I was controlling at the time of death got to do the cool animation, so it seems that you just need to be controlling a melee character near the Archdemon as it dies.

Also, on my second go I realized I could have used my armies at the Archdemon fight, I never noticed this the first time I killed her, nor did I see the Ballistas until my third time. Seems that fight got all these additional recourses you might not be aware of.

Yeah, I was my own character and Allistar kills the dragon and I was really far away shooting arrows at it.

And my character got the final blow. Is it the same cut scene all three times?

The part where they pick up a sword, run towards Archie, slice her throat and then stab her, is the same, but the moments leading up to it are different. If you did Morrigan's dark pact (which any sensible person should do), then it goes straight from fight to cutscene, in all other scenarios you have a dialogue screen in between. Otherwise identical, except for which character does what.

Btw who was the hardest boss for you guys in DAO? For me its either flemeth or the high dragon.

Archdemon wasn't that powerful imo.

Both dragons before the Archdemon were impossible for me. I guess I could do it but it would of taken forever.

If the archdemon was as hard as the dragons, a few small percentage of people would of beaten the game.

I had to set the game to easy just to beat the high dragons... hard enough already.

Despite the fact that all my party members died while fighting the archdemon, it was actually the easiest. I know exactly why my party members died: I ran somewhere, my party members did not follow due to a glitch, getting stuck behind something, or some of the darkspawn got in the way and they couldn't walk around them.

I pretty much had to take down the archdemon with only my main character.

I would say Flemeth was the hardest boss, by far. I literally could not beat her the first time I played against her.

I leveled up 5-7 levels, got much better armor and spells for Wynne.

The main thing that made it FAR easier to beat Flemeth, after leveling up, was that skill/ability of Sten to not be knocked down. It's got some sort of weird name, but, basically, it lasts for like 7 seconds or something...and you can't be knocked down during that period of time. Makes the fight EASY.
