* can someone confirm this: is Cyclops really playable in PS2? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel:_Ultimate_Alliance_2 wow! this is a dream come true, i'll definitely buy this one! 🙂
The Game is pretty good guys. I'm rather disappointed with the Melee system, as it's the same three hit combos as MUA1. But at least they redid the animations. The air attack thing was nerf'd, but oddly, I find myself using it more.
So far all the characters are pretty good in their own special ways, with each character getting rather unique powers. Luke Cage is definitely better this time around, as are a lot of the other characters.
I feel as though Cap was nerf'd right now, but I've still got to do some leveling and try out his fourth power. His Shield Throw is more realistic this time around. The cut scenes and voices are much better, however, much of the dialogue you get to choose for your character isn't so great. Luckily, they don't voice all of that. Oh, I also dislike Thor's new voice. It's just too deep and...non-Thorish. 😬 Maybe I was too used to MUA1 Thor? I thought that Thor voice was perfect.
Throwing is better in this game. The larger tanks (every tank except Luke Cage) can grab enemies and use them as weapons. 👆
The minimap was removed for this game. But for a good reason, now you have the fusion meter and the new health recharge system. To find your way to objectives, you can click the R3 button (on PS3 of course) to have it point you to where you need to go.
Fusions. 👆 Best part of the game so far. The Fusions aren't actually completely different for every two characters like advertised, like both Iceman and Storm and Human Torch and Storm make tornadoes. But the effects and damage types are different, so at least that is good.
Iceman doesn't completely suck, nor is he completely boring so far.
If you were disappointed with the difficulty of the first game, this one will change that. I'm playing on Heroic, the Normal difficulty of the game, and I've still lost some characters. Basically, if you don't know how to use your Fusions correctly, you'll lose characters, fast if you aren't careful. I imagine if I turn the difficulty up more, it'll get even more challenging.
I've only just arrived at the Stamford Incident in the Civil War storyline, and I've not been told I passed the First Act yet (there are three total). I've played it for 3 hours already, so hopefully it won't only take me 8 hours like the screen shots of RoboFury.
I'm pretty sure it will be RoboFury for the secret character too guys. Lucia Von Bardas showed up in a Robo form wanting revenge on Nick Fury. So she probably kidnaps him and turns him into one.
