Marvel Ultimate Alliance II: Fusion!

I agree the combat system was fine, I was just hoping for something newer.

I realized within the last hour that I don't think customization is incredibly less in-depth in this game. I just think it was focused more on the the whole Team, than on the individual characters. It makes sense as this is a game focused on a team of great heroes working together, and even moreso than the last game with the Fusions.

So it's weird. Almost like the game went in the direction it should have gone in the first place, but nobody really wants it that way.

yeah, i can see that but i still feel as though it failed in creating a team based chemistry. I really did feel as though my team was more unique and important in the last game. I think this is because of the writing. I think this game was just to structured. I never felt as though i was bringing anything to the table. Instead, i was playing the game exactly how the developers wanted me to and i even got penalized for not creating the right teams.

Because every character only had four basic abilities. It felt like i was doing the same moves regardless of who i was using. I'm a big believer in the saying, if it's not broke don't fix it. However, i'm an even bigger believer in the saying, If we don't explore we'll never discover. Both of these sayings seem to sum up Ultimate Alliance 2. I encourage the developers to try new things but don't take away what we loved about the previous games. I mean, the game holds your hand the entire way. I don't even know why they had the character level up screen because it was pointless and useless.

The fact that the game switches to autospend points on you all the time tells you that you weren't meant to worry about allocating your exp points. However, even if you do turn that thing off there is no point. Your abilities can only be leveled so far until you hit the level lock. It's ridiculous. That screen serves no purpose. It is there only to create the illusion that you're having an affect over your heroes growth.

The only upgrade to the game was the stupid fusion gimmick. That was supposed to make us feel more connected as a team...,how? Those stupid boosts are the only thing you have any decision over and those have ALWAYS been there, in fact the other game had more boosts. Not only did they give you the gear but your costumes also had significant boost effects.

sorry, this game just let me down, big time. I was really looking towards this to be something special.

What we really need at this point, is an Ultimate alliance that plays like the recent Wolverine game lol

i got this game, it's seems more of the same thing pt.1 offered, like 80%. i do like the fusion aspect, which is, i'm assuming, the games main attraction.

gameplay's very repetative; non-stimulating and the button mashing makes me feel like an immature little kid quickly pounding away at those mechs that practically look all the same most of the time.

graphics are better than pt. 1, voice overs get a C-, and the soundtrack is generic. It's a game you'd pick up and play for 10-15 mins at a time and not play it for days at a time..

this game gets a 6/10 from me.

Does Deadpool still say "Now I'M better at whatever it is Wolverine does!"

If he does, it is worth a buy.

Nah, he just makes comments about having a low health bar, mocks people, and is generally pretty awesome.

There's supposed to be a conversation of him with one of the Developers where they turn off his swords and he goes "What the hell? I didn't know you could do that!" But I haven't found it yet.

Hey guys, does the Wii version of the game even have unlockable costumes?

I dunno. Vicarious Vision only did the PS3 and 360 versions of the game. The other versions might have some different stuff outside of just the exclusive characters.

Yeah, I don't think they did. They also got rid of the motion controls the first one had. I sold my Wii copy and got the PS3 version.

I rented this last night, I'm not enjoying it as much as the last one to be honest, not to mention I'm a bit pissed that Wii and PS2 for some reason get way more characters then anyone else...I don't really get that lol

It's fun, but I'm disappointed still.

Nothing seems to be an improvement here other than style (graphics and the fusions).

I liked how you could personalize each character in MUA 1. New system? Not so much.

I don't like how they took away a.o.e. abilities that certain characters had like Iceman and Human Torch, and only three or so characters can boost the team with their abilities. i.e. Captain America. Whereas the last game, nearly everyone had a team boost ability.

Also, you can only do one game through in acquiring upgrade tokens (body, strike, e.c.t.). On the second run, if you didn't pick it up in the previous play through, you get XP instead which can be useless if you're already at 60.

And as a final con; only two costumes per character, and no stat changes for either? Lame.

And while the story was good, I liked how creative the first one was and how it took you everywhere. The gameplay is still the same. If it ain't broke (as far as I'm concerned).

I was really psyched about this game. Suffice to say I grew more and more disappointed the more I played. Still, the Diablo fan (and Deadpool fanboy) in me is smiling.

K, well for those of you guys that kept your copy, who do you want to see as DLC? Outside of the standard character exclusive pack which would include Blade, Psylocke, Cyclops, Sentry and Juggernaut for those of us who don't have one of those. I think there's one more there.

Personally I'd like
The Falcon
Hawkeye
Dr. Strange
Moon Knight
Ghost Rider
Wonderman

There's rumors of a leaked DLC list floating around too. It includes

Wonderman
War Machine
She-Hulk
Cable
Bishop
And I think Hercules, but I gotta check on it.

Whats the deal with the Juggernaut code?

It was only given out to people who preordered the game from Gamestop or Amazon or some other shit. That's the only way you can get him for now.
