Better than I expected, as I expected an abortion. But not very good at all. The pacing was shit, the action for the most part dull and a drive-by at best on being a social momentary like the original.
Pros:
-Silver form Robocop looked good
-Gary Oldman is in it
-Robocop's wife is pretty hot
-Modern CGI for ED209 was nice to see
-Sam Jackson was Sam Jackson
Considering that, I highly doubt this will get a sequel, not that I would look forward to it.

Are you sure you saw Robocop? But all jokes aside even if it wasn't great it was still better than Robocop 3.Plus we had
Spoiler:
Samuel L. Jackson do Samuel L. Jackson things at the end of the movie
well i did see some type of film that had a man being burned/lose limb then gets reborn/remade as a man machine lolol..
sam i kind of thought stole the film especially those end scenes 😛
I quite liked it, not as good as the original of course but it had it's qualitities like being able to
Spoiler:. But why keep his right hand? They cut off his leg that coulda still been used, they cut off his right arm but keep that one hand...it looked really stupid with the part I just mentioned that I liked cause it's like
see what was under the armour and all that, the effects were that were stunning and obviosuly something they couldn't have done back in the original for obvious reasons. Wasn't expecting that, everyone there was like 'wtf!?!'
Spoiler:
everything is gone apart from the important parts such as your lungs, your brain...oh and your right hand. Although it was useful at the end I guess when he had to remove his left arm after it got stuck under an ED 209. And at the end it was nice to see them get rid of the black armour.

Why do you say that? It's already made it's money back:

Shouldn't be too difficult for it to double it's budget (which is what's required to be considered a box office success I think).

a lot of people out here believe no sequel is happening because it most likely won't make too much more money

I was expecting it to barely break even once word started getting out that is was mediocre at best. My error then.

Well there are people like me and Zack saying it's a great movie.
Spoiler:
the trick is to let go of the Original when watching it. My brother's making comparison's with the original which is why he's not fond of it either, even though me and him usually have similar taste in films.

to me at least i wanted a better story, and a whole lot more violence
Pretty poor. Good acting from Gary Oldman. Some pretty good action set pieces but that's about all the positives. Keaton has a passing grade but just. Aside from looking good I have no idea how Abbie Cornish keeps getting work. She plays the same confused idiotic role in every film.
The pacing is by miles the worst thing about it. It's a far more insular story than the original. There's no sense that crime is particularly out of control. I'd say Detroit looked less rundown in this than it does in real life. It gives a whole 2 minutes to showing robocop tackling normal crimes before going back to his own attempted murder.
