Of course it isn't. The Dark Knight only came out a few months ago, and those are old rumours.
People around me I hang out with often are believing it. Rather stupid.

It is just a tad moronic...

I don't know why Batman 3 is getting this megahype, TDK barely came out.

Because people want more.

Obviously true. It's just the latest thing for people to get excited about and speculate over continuously. Soon, it'll be something else, perhaps the third James Bond film, or whatever.

Yep, although Bond is harder to speculate over because there is not as much written source material to pull ideas from. Maybe "the next Spider-man" baddies.

I say that they should go with Mr. Burden.

Nah, that guy looks like he can't fight.

Does he have any martial arts moves.?

He could kick your ass no problem, that's for sure.

Spider-Man 3 sucked ass. That's why nobody's very excited about Spider-Man 4, at least from what I've seen.

The hype will build soon anyway, because it's now pretty much official that there'll be a couple more films. I'm pretty sure there was doubt that there would be a SM4 'til recently. Yes, I know Batman 3 hasn't been confirmed, but everyone and their dog knows it's gonna happen.

"Cough" novels "cough"

Yeah, but there's a very vast difference between a sequel to the Dark Knight (superb movie) and a sequel to Spider-Man 3 (a 'meh' movie, at best). Spider-Man 3 didn't leave any taste for more, nor did it end in some sort of epic cliffhanger; TDK ended with a sort of cliffhanger, and left viewers eager to see another Batman movie- even if all know that Batman 3 will not be as good as The Dark Knight.

I WILL watch Spider-Man 4, though. 'Cuz I'm a sucker.

How many novels are there that haven't already been made into films though? And the novels just don't have the same type of following that Batman comics have anyway. Here is another way of looking at it: How many Batman bad guys that haven't been used in the series can you name vs Bond bad guys that haven't been used yet.

Or, perhaps, simply a masochist...

Nonsense. Lots of people love Bond novels- just not the same people who read comics, I imagine. And while there aren't as many Bond villains, I'm sure there are just as many with any chance of appearing. Can you really imagine the Penny Plunderer appearing in a Batman film?

So all of Fleming's have been made into films? I suppose we might see a little creativity from the film-makers from now on. How remarkable!
