Batman 3's Villain will be Baaaaane!

Riddler's too much like the Joker. He'd make for a bad choice in the 3rd movie, IMO.

We need either Black Mask, Bane, Reaper, Phantasm, or Two-Face.

A) If the Riddler's too similar to the Joker, so's Black Mask. Both into the whole sadist, torture schtick, both with facial deformities (well, Joker was wearing makeup, but it comes to the same thing...), both somewhat insane, both manipulating the mob...

B) Bane... if done right, hell yes.

C) Reaper- not gonna happen, however much we want it.

D) Phantasm- only appeared in the animated film. Great character, but a Reaper copy, changed only because, apparently, killing with scythes was too violent for a film which was primarily made for kids.

E) Two-Face is dead. Dead! You hear me!? DEAD!

I'm still hoping he's not dead 😄

I really hope he is.

I agree. I'm sure Chris Nolan is a much better director than to have to resort to the 'he's not really dead' trick. It's not like Batman has a lack of enemies anyway...

There's no problem in bringing him back, because he's an awesome villain, but the only reason I don't think they should is because now that Two-Face has been done correctly, we need to see Freeze, the Riddler, and Bane done correctly. However, if Two-Face were introduced, I say either pair him up with the Riddler or Bane. Or maybe they could have him escape but beforehand they introduce the Riddler who pays Bane to be his hired muscle. Nah, nah....that'd make him a dumb henchman all over. Just introduce the Riddler and then have Bane come in at some point or have Catwoman and Bane team up or something. There's so many different ways Nolan can go.

A) Mr. Freeze just doesn't work in film. He rarely works in the comics to be honest. Heart of the Ice (the BTAS episode) was great though. It still wouldn't work in live action.
B) There are plenty of physically threatening villains that aren't Bane, you know. While characters like Killer Croc (who's a Lizard copy anyway) and Clayface (who would probably seem like a rather pathetic imitation of Sandman, to be honest) would both be unrealistic and fail miserably, you could use characters like Deadshot (yes, I know he was in Gotham Knight, but that means nothing), Amygdala (now there's a character who could be a mindless thug- maybe liberated by the Riddler from Arkham), or the Reaper (who is, of course, a rival vigilante, who kills). I could see any of those three or many others working very well in Nolan's 'universe'.

Agreed on A, and most likely on B.

Eh, Killer Croc could work. Afterall, he's a man with a skin disease, and that could work on film. He doesn't have to look like a true lizard for him to work on the big screen. He could work as hired muscle by someone like the Scarecrow. He's a cool villain but was never meant to be Joker calibur so him being hired muscle would do just fine.

I guess Waylon Jones with a much milder version of the condition could work. More like a guy with very faintly green-ish skin which appears slightly scaley, rather than a full blown Curt Connors- lookalike...

Croc as an enforcer would kick ass...

Reaper would actually work so well in the next movie (Rachel is dead, chaos is back in Gotham, Batman is on the run, etc. What better time for Gotham's original vigilante to return?)

Another idea (it's just that, an idea, but it's a new idea nobody has tried in a film yet) is use Curtis Base as a VERY MINOR villain... Don't know who Curtis Base is? Well, read this: Curtis Base

He can be killed by someone *wink wink* at the end, but you never actually see this someone *wink wink* because they are currently locked away *wink wink*

Black Mask is another great idea for a villain...

'Joker II' sounds like a cool idea, for, as you say, a very minor villain. And, of course, the Reaper would be incredible, though I guess it may not fit into the whole 'realism' of the series to have a pensioner kicking Batman's arse...

Maybe Phantasm could be Reaper's "Batgirl".

Just like Batman and Batgirl.

And Clayface and Killer Croc are far better characters than Sandman and Lizard. :]

I don't think that would quite compute in this 'realistic' series. Younger sidekicks do not work...

That wasn't at all my point. My point was that the so-called 'general public' would notice that Clayface and Croc share many similarities with the better-known Spider-Man villains. Admittedly, Lizard hasn't been in a Spider-Man film yet, but he's been in games, he's been on TV and he'll probably be in Spidey 4.
Anyway, Clayface (the shapeshifting Clayface) would never fit into the realism of the films. EVER!

You do know there has been more then one clayface.

Yes, that's why I specified 'the shapeshifting Clayface'. 🙂 The first one (was that Basil Karlo?) is perfectly realistic, though I think he's somewhat, well... lame.

There's been 3-4 Clayfaces if i recall correctly.

More like 5 I think, but don't ask me to name them all...

Ah, touche, my man. Depends what you count as being a 'real Clayface', I guess...

8....wow
