Ush has also hinted that it would take a tank shell to even worry that thing.

Doesn't change my first idea 😛

But my point remains. Sometimes you need to go for a less straight-forward plan.

He actually said the drill can only be harmed by a tank shell.

Look, Denz, what you need to do (as Ush hinted), is use lift on the lose rock, to make it fall off and then quickly jump into the hole to let the drill pass you by, that would probably work.

You shouldn't have much of a problem really, you are very good at leaping and lifting.

Rex already pointed out that detail that I had missed 😛

And that basically is exactly what my first idea was; frankly, it seems blindingly obvious to me if you're in that situation and are good with lifting stuff with the Force. Let the thing pass you, and THEN worry about how you're going to actually get out of there.

I do think that's his way out there, and it does seem obvious, especially reading back what Ush hinted (he kinda gave it away, a sort of "Do you want to survive? Just say yes if you want to).

[edit] Oh, and I misread what Rex said, so my bad.

Create a cubby hole, or try to slow the machine with debris, either way is good.

Or you can try the uber-leap if you have Master Leaping; difficult but not imppssible and the equivalent of blowing Force points into it could well get you clear.

I never put players in a no-win situation without warning them of the possibility first.

No lift I am afraid, Jovan- they basically dug a new shaft all the way across the moon to make this kidnap.

Denz rips rocks from to wall and drops them on the drill, trying to make a big enough hole to fit in. Once there was enough space he'd slice the rest away with his saber.

can I throw a homing beacon in it; like the one obi-wan has in Attack of the Clones which he throws at Slave I on Kamino?

If so, than I tag them and take a regular elevator and track them like that?

Indeed you can, Jovan! And though that is a good idea, I will point out game-wise that in this particular incident, Denz probably has a good opportunity to track it anyway as he knows where it must emerge from the earth.

yes, I understand. But I thought because my character hasn't seen or heared Denzrel above the thingy, I am not allowed to know he is there. Is this true?

Wah? Ohhh so we're looking at the same incident. 😄 Well you migt be able to sense Denz.

fas looked up at wentar. "allright, its out. we've got the proof and we've slowed them down. i say we get this to the government as soon as possible. theres nothing more we can do hear." he pulled his comlink out and changed to seans frequency. "sean, we've got the proof, we're pullin out."

((any chance a convienyent explosion could knock the walker down and trap us in a situation where all we can do is fight ush, or are we home free. i'm fine with either option.))

Renegades-
(Walker is down and out any further damage to the it is pointless.)
"No, I feel we can do more. We just need to do what we can until the Houn arrive with the Cal."
Do we have more then enough evidence Ush or is grabbing more recommended?

Ren-
Only half a dozen? Well in that case I'll shoot at a couple more enemies and then run from cover to get into a better position to take the others out.

I will help the new come jedi's with any future problems that arise - I have a lot of time in hand now and I read trough your whole light side story.

Denz - When the drill is passing you by see if you can maybe bust through a door in the drill that is passing by the 'cavity' that you are hidden in? How fast is the crane moving in reverse?
Tagging it should also be a priority, and identifying who the intruders where from any of their casualties that were left in the negotiations room.

Err, Denz, I would advise against that. You will be able to apprehend your foes at their destination. No need to try cutting into it as its moving past, unneeded risk.

However, I agree that maybe the intruders can be identified through any casualties that Jovan inflicted (if he inflicted any).

Depends on the speed that it is moving. Drills aren't meant for mobility and speed I believe.
But since Denz couldn't have climbed the hole in time to get out before the drill gets to him, I think the speed of the drill is quite fast and therefore trying to bust in would be impossible and risky.

It has a massive drill and mining lasers. Probably not best to throw yourself at something that requires tank shells to bring down, and it appears to be climbing faster than he can.

Denz, just stick with your plan of yanking out a loose rock to create a little nook to hide in until the drill passes.

Yup!

I said slice away the rest of the rock, btw thanks for all your great advice ppl))
