Indeed, Denz and Jovan are seeing the same thing from different angles.

Jovan attaches a homer to the drill (presumably just before the main body of it retracts, as you could not attach a homer tyo the drill bit itself whilst spinning!) and races to get to the surface the normal way!

And indeed, the mining vehicle doens't move very fast by vehicle standards- say, 30 miles an hour? That's still rather faster than a human can blimb that slope though! Even a Jedi.

(And whilst that is a tempting idea, Vlad, it probably is moving a bit fast to be reasonably cut into as it goes past)

But Denz can also discern that once it has bored a tunnel from the surface and completed it, all it can do is retrace its steps. Once the drill bit has lost its purchase, the vehicle can no longer turn to create a new tunnel unless it gets entirely out a tunnel and starts again. So it really can only be going to one place, which is the large drilling rig- which now you think about it, Denz, is pretty close to the starport...

So! Denz tears out a chunk of rock in the wall and squeezes himself into the cavity as the vehicle goes by! Noisy, scary... but safe.

This now finally gives Denz and Jovan the chance to talk to each other. Denz is about halfway up that slpe so he may as well keep going now... though the vehicle is going to fire at him!

Sean- indeed, yu've already accounted for a lot of them!

What kind of psotion did you want to run to? Pretty flat around here. You could head to the settlement, though; of you have Master Swiftness, you could blur some of the way over.

As for the rest of you- your extraction of the probe footage is excellent evidence, I cannot ask more of you there.

But it seems the other groups, seeing their comrades in difficulty, are moving voer now. That is four more walkers and four dozen more men! Uh-oh...

Okay. How exactly do I have to imagine the situation?

(I am not quite sure if we are supposed to do something or should just wait for the vote to be over)

Oh okay, fair enough. I'll just wait then...though, one question, since I have presence, can I use that to increase my chances of not being a target in an attack?

Only if the attack chance was random. There is only so far you can go to stop yourself being specifically targeted.

That's true... But I see standing and fighting suicide, unless we don't fight all of them at once... If we engaged one part of their forces how soon would it take the rest of their group to reach us?

Since you know where its heading I advise you not to rush after it.
Identify the bodies to see who they are, and try to use your or the senator's authority to get a group of militia or security to come with you. This place is probably heavily defended.

Blur away? That sounds like it might be fun...to the village!

Off you go, Sean, outpacing the surprised others. This brings you unnoticed (since the recon is out) to the periphery of the settlement under attack and free to make a choice of what to do...

I'll take the advice and see if some of the attackers are captured/killed and contact Denz to set in the pursuit if possible

Is Azarl also feeling uncomfortable?

Not yet, but then Con is very sensitive to that kind of thing.
