Change my post to 'climbed up the freighters ramp' while getting my droid to prep the ship, who I guess is excitedly awaiting us at the top of the ramp.

Well, there is an issue in taking a one-man fighter, Denz, in that you might sometimes be required to lift people around.

In any case your droid cannot get a tracking signal until you take off, by which time it will be too late. Meanwhile you should send a message to the Council.

Denzral walks through the shuttle to the cockpit, flicking all the appropriate switches. "Arfour, get her ready. I'm going to contact the council. Jovan come."

Gets on the com, contcting Coruscant.

"How satisifed are you with the situation?" he asks.

"You and I, we are the same, you know," he says, "We don't like red tape. All this nonsense about laws and land... it's just a lot of smoke and mirrors made up by those in power. People like you and me... we prefer to get things done the direct way. The quick qay.

"All this? With the walkers and the teams? That was the quick way. Now we'll have to do it the slow way, through the courts. But all the judges and law here work for us. It will be slow... but the reault will be the same. The galaxy has no time for pathetic lifeofmrs like the ones here.

"But in slowing us down, you've made us angry. I'll give you now a warning that is the last for most. Beware the Coils of the Serpent. They surround you when you are not looking."

None of you have a ship, so you have spent some considerable time riding back through the forest to your mountain!

It will be good to get to. The climb is not so bad, and the higher you get the more the atmospheric pressure eases, and you can act more freely. By the same logic, the Epireans don't like to go up there as they find it harder to draw in enough oxygen.

But that's odd- and worrying. Your shield is down. There should be a shield around the base that protects it from any orbital bombardment- though passable to you by pushing through it. But there's no resistance around the base of the mountain at all.

"Fairly. The people got the best deal in the end, but the way to the solution should have been different."

"Would that we had the power to make all things go as we wished, but I feel you did as well as possible in the circumstances.

"Are you well?" he asks, his transmission distorting due to the distance.

"Yes, master Windu though I am concerned about the fate of the arrested miners."

"I am sure your report will be taken into account. Of course, it is a bad idea for the lawman to also be the judge.

"I am afraid you are not returning to Coruscant; we are re-assigning you immediately."

"Thank you for the confidence Master Windu. Shall comrade Denzral also be on the mission?"

"Yes he will. We have a urgent need for Jedi in the sector of space adjacent to yours and you are the only ones in the area."

(well, THAT's kicking down my confidence in being a decent jedi: no one else is available! He tried the best... now he's stuck with the rest!)

"We will be on our way as soon as the co-ordinates have been sent, Master Windu. What will be the mission exactly?"

Well, to be fair, it's not your normal sort of mission, Jovan...

The planet Charaeus itself is just outside the Republic and outside of Senatorial control. The cult is obsessed with technology and has often been known for its piratical and scavenging ways but recently its attacks have grown in number, regularity and technological sophistication. A recent attack on a civilian liner left all on board missing and assumed killed- including a Jedi."

"I understand, Master. Does the mandate include an attempt to disrupt the pirates or are we searching for survivors and cleaning the space routes?"

Denzral nodded. "Yes master Windu, we will be on our way as soon as we lift off. What is our charge."
