MOS was forgettably enjoyable, but it should have been a classic. Almost everything about the film is wrong, but
the action scenes are so superlative that they make the film worth it

Thats the big problem. Superman HAS to be perfect or people get really damn pissed off. It has to be an epic. It has to be a masterpiece. Superman has to be perfect Christopher Reeves or don't even bother. I went in wanting to have a good time and I had a damn good time. Screw the haters.

So crashing through building after building while blitzing each other ad nauseum is your idea of great action.

I honestly thought Cavill was a likable if not overly deep Supes, and while the first third of the movie could have dealt with better narration and structure, the rest came together well enough.

It was something of a train wreck, IMHO.

You never even saw the movie

Look at this little punk here.

I saw it all right. I saw the admittedly cool scenes with Jor-El, the awesome fight scenes.

I also saw the awkward and weirdly nihilistic scenes with Pa Kent. "Should I just let people die?" "lol idk maybe". And then the nihilistic sociopath sacrifices his life in a ****ing tornado for no ****ing reason.

I remember Zod's nonsensical characterization. He's this well-intentioned guy who does what he does for the good of his people... But he wants to commit a pointless genocide on Earth, rather than terraform, I dunno, Venus?

I remember all the loldeepedgy moments which blatantly exist just to defy what people's expectations of Superman are. Look everyone! This Superman lolsnapped Zod's neck! Look everyone, this Superman is a deep, brooding, Linkin Park edgemaster!

The movie was just... Not depressing, but there was little in the way of fun in it. It was needlessly bleak and monotone.

Oh, and Superman and Lois Lane had less chemistry than a dead monkey and a gym sock.

Movie version only in this forum, epidural.

Which thread are you referring to, quanshe?

So he told his son not to save the school bus kids, and he told him not to save him..where is the disagreement?

Tell me which movies zach and christopher have ever done that are not bleak and monotone

Do you really have to ask. If you include a fictional dragon from the novels only you are breaking the rules. Keep begging me to join in your silly against the rule type threads.

^Going by that logic every thread involving TV series characters also becomes invalid. Try Russell Edgington for example. Which is actually what's stated in the 1st rules forum.

Characters from televised movies are allowed for versus matches, but characters from an actual TV series are not allowed, since, obviously, the tv series is not a movie. Characters who have appeared on both television and on film (Star Trek, 24, etc) are allowed for versus matches. Star Trek, for example, has numerous tv shows of different franchises as well as motion pictures and it seems only fair to allow feats from both in versus matches. Remember, though: Characters who have appeared on television ONLY cannot be used in the Movie Versus Forum. That is why we have the All Versus Forum.

Yet you don't bother to take the time to spam up those threads with your "it's against the rules thread, wah wah wah" nonsense.

Also, not sure where exactly I begged you to post in either of my threads? In fact, it's quite the opposite; you pathetically attempted to backseat mod and resorted to petty and childish name-calling. I guess both irony and hypocrisy are synonymous with the word "quanchi112".

But still, point out where book-based characters are banned in either of the 2 rules threads:

It belongs in the all versus. There is a place for it. You're simple. You've been corrected by others as well, epidural. 🙂

Still waiting for an answer..neme

I was slumbering.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make with the first sentence.

The second, lol. That's not an argument, that is an affirmation of my argument that Nolan and Snyder should have had nothing to do with the movie.

What is the problem here? He said do not show your powers in the public and he gave his life to protect his son..

What more could you ask for..

Because it was stupid. "Oh don't use your powers son, just let me die, forcing you to suffer from mental trauma for years from hence forth".

Show me proof of his mental suffering from his fathers death..5 minutes prior him and his father were in a bloody argument about how much he hated his life on the farm..his father ate his own words.

He has flashbacks about it regularly throughout the film.

Did he even watch the movie?

Also... Are you implying that Superman wanted his father to die? 😐
