I talked to a few guys over there that I know, they still laugh at SM for naming himself Snake Eyes alter ego but would never stick up for snake eyes in a forum battle.

Something along the lines of he named himself Silent Master because he loves Snake Eyes, however since he is a troll, he would never want himself to be labeled a fan boy, so he deliberately found a different name to call himself and never wanted to reveal his obsession so it could not be used against him.
