STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Runaway

The IG-56 decides that it wants to pull ahead early in this fight. It taps Unbreakable seeing as Xavier is bypassing its hard chassis anyways, making it invulnerable for the turn. It also taps Street Fighter, giving it a reflex attack against Xavier's feeble strike.

Xavier goes in to hit and the IG-56 steps back as the punch comes so that the Dark Jedi slips up, then steps back into slam its metal fist right into Xavier's face for five damage (two successes on the first hit), then follows up with a second punch to the stomach for seven damage.

This thing fights intelligently, Xavier. Frustrating.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 3

IG-56 (C 8): 2(1A)/2(1A)/5

Xavier (C 7 / FP 5): 2/2/18 [Focused Blow/Street Fighter/Dodge and Weave]

-----

Xavier will give him a taste of his own medicine by tapping Street Fighter then switching it out for Martial Artist.

Xavier rejoins the fight in ernest, though IG-56 gets initiative and whacks him again for three damage. Unfortunately, Xavier misses his first attack and only rolls one success on his reflex attack, for four damage.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 4

IG-56 (C 8): 2(1A)/2(1A)/9

Xavier (C 11 / FP 5): 2/2/21 [Focused Blow/Martial Arist/Dodge and Weave]

-----

Reminder- don't be afraid to tap your schticks. Xavier has a lot at his disposal, and a Refresh is bound to pop up some time.

Xavier will tap Martial Artist and Dodge and Weave this turn.

He will then switch in Feint for the round.

Xavier goes and attempts to Droid in some very weak points from its neck down to its knees.

Which power are you swapping out?

Sorry switching it out for Dodge and Weave

Getting initiative, Xavier launches a nineteen-dice attack on the robot. The base damage of his barehanded attack is 1 and ignores the IG-56's armor, but he loses two dice to the droid's Defense. Overall, Xavier scores a hit for 8 damage.

IG-56 tries to respond, but only scores a hit for two damage on Xavier with a single success, having only had two dice to attack with.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 5

IG-56 (C 8): 2(1A)/2(1A)/17

Xavier (C 7 / FP 5): 1/1/23 [Focused Blow/Martial Artist/Feint]

-----

Remember to specify how Xavier is using Feint.

Xavier will use it for the one extra damage.

Xavier may not be able to use his lightsaber but the force is one thing that can not be taken from him. He will sue Evade to dodge the droid's attack.

Then will strike at him as well.

Bringing in Counterstrike for Martial Artist.

The Force is with Xavier this round. Winning initiative, Xavier's fist becomes a blur as he uses the Force to enhance his blow, dealing the IG-56 seven damage. He then twists away from the response, only taking three damage in return.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 6

IG-56 (C 8): 2(1A)/2(1A)/24

Xavier (C 9 / FP 3): 1/1/26 [Focused Blow/Counterstrike/Feint]

-----

Refresh round!

Xavier will tap Feint, Refresh Street Fighter and bring it in.

He will also once again use the force to Evade.

You can refresh two powers at a time.

Oh then I will also refresh Martial Artist 😛

The IG-56 gets his punch in first, tapping Dodge and Weave to give him a higher defense. He only does two damage on his four-dice attack. Xavier, on the other hand, only does three himself, his Feint tap wasted as he did not roll any 4s.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 7

IG-56 (C 8): 1(1A)/1(1A)/27

Xavier (C 9 / FP 2): 1/1/28 [Focused Blow/Counterstrike/Street Fighter]

-----

Xavier will use Evade once more

And tap Counterstrike this turn bringing in Martial Artist

IG-56 goes first again, getting in seven damage with a very solid punch despite Xavier's evasive efforts. However, Xavier hits harder, getting five successes and hitting the robot for eight damage, putting them on even damage.

FIGHTING RING MATCH, START OF TURN 8

IG-56 (C 8): 1(3A)/1(3A)/35

Xavier (C 11 / FP 1): 1/1/35 [Focused Blow/Martial Artist/Street Fighter]

-----

Xavier taps both Martial Artist and Street Fighter adding a force Strike to it.

Evade for Defense.

Xavier only has a single Force point left to spend. Will it be for Strike or for Evade?

Evade then 😛

Wait under the new system those Force Points don't recharged in a fight do they?

Either way I'll stick with Evade

They do not, I'm afraid. But from a Gamemaster's perspective, you needn't worry about that effecting things right now.

Xavier launches a vicious attack! Performing some hard-hitting martial arts, Xavier jams his hand straight into a panel on the IG-56 and tears at some wires, inflicting 10 damage in his hit. He follows this up by kicking the robot away from him, for another 7 damage on his reflex attack and smashing the droid's sensory relay with one fierce kick to the face. It stumbles back and begins buzzing and sparking as it cannot see and has been hindered by the wires you tore... and it yields!

A shocked audience applauds for Xavier.

Xavier takes one deep breath then relaxes. He picks up a small piece he tore from the robot and as he walks away places it on his necklace another trophy.
