I don't think even them.

That Nagasaki incident just must have left a few scars. Even 3 years later.

Pardon me for asking, but how can your vote boil down to a choice between Nader or McCain? What do either of those two men have in common?

In my first vote I vote Independent...same in 2000. In 2004 I voted Republican. I only voted a couple of times as a democrat in local elections. I usually avoid getting involved with parties. Sometimes it comes down to the candidates representation and how involved are they with the communities. What do they have in common? They're politicians making promises...just like Obama and others. So to me...it really can be decided on appeal.

[Edit]

If your not a democrat or republican you're ignored, or laughed at for being different.

That's a good reason why people should discard those individuals. Anyone who doesn't have any liberal or conservative opinions gets label as ignorant, stupid, or worse...apathetic. Fact is neither party cares about you. They only care about your vote.

This should seriously be a national holiday. A lot of people from the "working class" are told they can go vote on their 15 min break.

I guess I hadn't even thought about it before today since this was my first time voting (early voted last week).

I voted today. I voted for my party's candidate even though I don't like him, lol. Sucked

I believe you're entitled by law far longer than that, I'm thinking 2 hours, but your job is not legally required to pay you for that time.

Got up early to vote so that I wouldn't hit the evening rush when people get back from work.

So Starbucks is campaigning free coffee if you say you voted. The Starbucks in my area was far more packed than the polls. Kind of dumb, since they don't ask for proof, just your word in exchange for a free drink.

Just went and voted. I was the only person under 25 in a room of about 50 people.

There are no Democrats over 25?

That seems to be the stereotype this particular joke operates under.

That joke is a big fail then.

I've actually heard of old republicans saying they will vote for Obama, though. It's a joke about old people and their old people ways.

I see your point. Sometimes promises can't be relied upon. After all, look at all the promises Bush gave us.Not the same man he was in 2000.In Obama's case I can see people being skeptical about him considering the fact that he is a fairly new politician/senator not having much of a voting record. In McCains and Naders case you know how serious they are based on what they supported in the past.

I thought it was kinda funny, for two reasons. One, you are a major Republican and I liked how he pointed it out and two, besides Rednecks, the major demographic people associate the Republican party with are old people. So I did enjoy it on the whole, though, I am sure dadudemon thought it was much cleverer than it was.

Oh, well thats cool knowing our country will be run by a man chosen by a bunch of 20 year olds.

If the old people are voting for him, wouldn't that mean Obama was chosen by old people as well?
