This is a video that fails on almost every point.
1. So Kennedy didn't not talk to Khrushchev and reach an agreement to remove the missiles? The fact is, he did. Obama is right and the person who made the video is either ignoring the facts to make a failed point, or they are just plain dumb.
2. Seems out of context to me. He didn't say that folks got together AFTER the bridge march, he was talking about their willingness to liberate African Americans. He was talking about the mentality possessed by those people, it would seem. I've had to defend McCain in similar situations because the Obama camp takes things out of perspective too.
3. Uhhhh, this one is a deliberate and complete fail. He never said his uncle liberated those in Auschwitz, he said that his uncle was one of the first AMERICAN troops in Auschwitz. Biiiiiig difference.
4. I'm not sure what the context of this was. He may have simply been talking about a what if or he may have meant, "10,000 people affected" or "displaced". After speaking for thousands of hours, your bound to make a mistake like that. I've made worse mistakes. Big deal.
5. ? How is that even a point? People pay hundreds of dollars just to get to heckle a famous rockstar or band and a free political event won't bring the same? Lame.
6. He probably meant, "and I see their relatives in the crowd now." I bet he corrected himself and the video was cut off to show that. Still, that's funny.
7. I have no idea what the **** he was trying to say. I couldn't understand it. I don't even know what his point was. And, yes, some people in Afghanistan speak Arabic-like languages (An Eastern Persian dialect and some sort of Iranian language.) I'm not a linguist, but the languages spoken there almost surely have a large Arabic influence. I bet the video maker didn't know that. He was stumbling through an idea trying to find the right words, he should be expected to get facts wrong from time to time. Still, he probably shouldn't speak about things he doesn't know about. It could prevent him from having to stumble around for words. Being a politician, he should have just used, "native languages" and in reference to the people employed from our military there, "our linguist specialists." Also, that last part was racist.
8. I don't understand how that is supposed to be an insult at all considering he's still the president of Venezuela???? And why was this cut so long?
9. He probably meant "cities". Still, humorous. Also, the person who made the video is an idiot. 57 + Alaska + Hawaii = 59. *insert annoying canned laughter here.
1. LOL! Still, we get the point.
2. LOL!
3. LOL!
4. Damnit! It was frustrating watching this.
5. LOL! However, I think he may have been referring to a specific type of intention during the meeting. Maybe? If McCain would have said something like this, I would defend it the same as well. Obama could have just been an idiot.
6. Nebulizer, maybe? He could have just left it as "breathing treatment, taking up a hospital room as part of standard procedure". I'm willing to bet the video maker didn't know that he probably meant "nebulizer"...

I just read on another forum I frequent that Obama said on the radio people should be covered if they default on car loans as well.I dont know if its true or not, but if it is then really? Do people have no personal responsibility any more or is it all "whatever, the rich will pay their taxes"?
Could you find the exact quote and sourcefrom where he stated it? Sounds like someone parsed what he said.

I can only assume you are hoping for such clearity from Mr. McCain, as well.
More so Obama though..McCain has been around for decades, we have some sort of idea where he is coming from. Obama on the other hand doesnt have any experience so its hard to gauge if he can actually do the things he says he can.

You mean for the last 26 years, where your own party claims the 90's were a supposed-disaster (because they can't take credit for it) and the late 80's and 2000's have proven to be a disaster?
I'm 28 years old. Mr. McCain has been in washington 2 years less than I have been alive.
What I don't hear from you is any actual expectations for your own candidate, while you're giving a free pass to your own. Where is the "country first" platform your man is espousing? Or has that not trickled down to you yet? How many years has Mr. McCain been President at this point?
lol @ my own candidate. Please find me a post..one single post..that I made saying I like John McCain or that he is a good candidate.
McCain is the lesser of 2 evils and the reason I don't like him is because he has Democratic tendencies (not todays Democrats aka radical socialists) but he still does have them. Our country is in a deficit and Obama wants to give billions of dollars to other countries..doesnt sound very responsible.

Obama may scale back promises
Looks like another "What the hell is Obama REALLY going to do?" moment.

Ah the Democratic slogan:
"Freedom of speech..if you agree with what we say".
edit: I was unaware unless you're an Obamabot or a McCain lover you cannot comment..lets kick those independents where it hurts.

Oh, you're so wounded...aren't you? I'm not the one that has spent the last 8 years professing that my guy has been doing everything right, while I'm now suddenly saying that my guy calling for change is doing the right thing by being a 26 year veteran of the very Washington politics you suddenly hate..after being a staunch supporter of the "business as usual" policies for nearly a decade. If McCain is such a maverick, why isn't he running as an Independant? I'm not the one saying I have luke-warm support for my candidate. You are, though. You're saying that the Democrats are forwarding an exemplary candidate that focuses their ideals and actually represents them, while you're saying "the best we could manage is a tepid, watered-down version of the extremism we actually demand from our representatives." ?
I call for you to stop speaking since you've spent the last year [insert actual number of months McCain's been running] defending this man's policies and plans, which you yourself are now half-assed claiming you agree with, are what's best for this country. You've spent the last few years saying that everything was great, and now the candidate you're supporting is not only agreeing they are not, but the administration you've wasted all that time supporting is actually disagreeing with the man you now support to take over? Where exactly do you stand on all this? Bush:great? Or McCain better?
McCain is a maverick that has been in Washington for 26 years; Obama is a liberal insider after only 3. Bush has been doing wonderfully for the last 8 years, despite your guy's record for accomplishing so much by being an outisder in his own party for almost three decades. What has this maverick accomplished? McCain has passed so many bills with the help of democrats, like immigration reform, that your own party is now in arms over? Sarah Palin can suposedly speak with authority on international relations because she thinks she can see Russia from her own living room, which your own party would claim as a non-issue since Reagan, McCains hero, single-handedly ended the cold war? Or that Bush has seen Putin's soul? Obama is a christian-hating, muslim terrorist in the same breathe you're accusing him of being an America-hating black christian who is looking to take rights away from white, middle-class America?
Obama has more in common with the average white middle-class American than John McCain does. Or does your wife own a 100 million dollar a year company that your mother has asked they pay out in food-stamps?

You don't understand, he's used to the Rep/Cons saying one thing while intentionally planning on doing another; someone openly admitting that they'll most likely not be able to do what they previously promised is both foreign and confusing to him. He was probably indoctrinated with the "no new taxes" line from Bush Sr.
