Well, one of the reasons he lost to Maul on Naboo was because he uses Ataru and didn't have much room to manuever. Seemed like the fight was fairly equal even then. And Qui-Gon was one of the best duelists in the Order at the time...I'd say if he beats Maul, he clears the Gauntlet. And I'd say he beats Maul 6/10 under normal circumstances with Maul reduced to one blade on his saberstaff.
Pure opinion and speculation on my part though, 'cause I can't think of anything off the top of my head that puts QGJ ahead of Maul skill or force-wise. lol

I have to disagree with you on Qui-Gon beating Maul. When they fought on Tatoonine it might have looked evenly matched but Qui-Gon would have lost he was exhausted after the rather short fight and Maul looked completely fine

Jinn gets past 1 and 2 without trouble. 3 goes about as long as it did in the movie, if that. Sora would beat Jinn as well, he gave Mace a good fight, is a legendary saber instructor and co-creator of Vaapad. As for Revan... Jinn would get crushed.

I know that was al in fun, but the novel states that Maul was better than both the Jedi and too good for them. If you put OGJ and Maul in a room and had them fight 10 times, OGJ might get lucky once. Maul is just far too good for him.

Did you watch their fight on tatooine when maul fought him with one blade, Qui-Gon had to retreat after a minute of fighting and he was exhausted and when they showed maul he looked the same as he did at the start of a fight. Qui-gon will lose to Maul just about every time. Maul wins 9/10
Here Maul uses one blade. From how I see it, that is NOT a 7/10 win for Qui-Gon Jinn.

Here is Maul using two blades. Qui-Gon Jinn did not stand a chance. A 9/10 or 10/10 in Darth Maul's benefit for sure. Heck, he fought Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon at the same time and was still doing incredibly good.
