While Raphael is a very competent fighter, with muscles and agility to match, he rely little or nothing on his physical strength. He has more blood on his hands than super-villains. With the help of his equipment has he brought down heroes and villains alike, and the quantities exceed that even some of the most powerful heroes/villains. His equipment is not only high-tech, but speculated even futuristic. Unnatural.

Personality: Raphael is a cruel man, believed to even be willing to sacrifice his own son if it benefits him in the long term. His philosophy is brain over muscle, and he has a tendency of killing heroes and villains alike just to prove this. He lives to prove that super-humans are not the superiority. Not necessarily to kill them, but teach them their place.
Story: Thorne is a highly successful man, with money, resources and men to spend. He lives on a private island where he the majority of the time sits. He has invented a matter transporter, with checkpoints at various locations across the globe, allowing him to travel with such speed from one place to another that it can only be matched by teleport. This allows Thorne to go wherever he finds it benficial.
Troughout his life, Thorne has always been interested in the ancient times. That is the sole reason why he wear armor whenever walking outside. While many consider him insane, or obsessed for wearing such outfits, they have all learnt that he has his reasons. Or at least learnt that he can give them reasons to not ask questions.
His island is not a large one, but one of beauty non-the-less. Magnificent statues, amazing and large buildings with resemblance of medieval temples and castles. Beneath the island is a high-tech facility with walls of adamantium. This in case he ever gets so many enemies that he needs an impervious fortress. His island has manually, as well as automatical defense-systems, making his island one of the best defended and safest locations on the planet.
The most important thing one is to remember when dealing with Thorne, is that he is a businessman. He acts, always, in what ways that benefit him. Even times when his advesaries believe that they are the ones pulling the strings, they are always under his. Always.
Allies: Raphael Thorne has allies only for as long as they are of use for him. None are ever really his allies, only his puppets for as long as they serve a purpose. The only allies Raphael truelly has, are those he persuade in various ways. Some with money, while others in various other ways.
Enemies: It is hard to like Thorne. Near impossible. Even his son has a certain level of hate for him. Saying that Thorne has enemies is a vast understatement. Raphael Thorne has no friends.
