HERO HIGH 2 - The Mystery

Skiv reached one of his hands back over his shoulder and began stroking harkins hair.

"Derek, you know ell that it wont be easy to take tsecti down, and besides you may need later for something"

Derek nodded.

''I know Tetsci is strong, and I might lose myself in the fight. But I truly beleive I can best him, and if ever I were to die doing it, I know it would be for a greater sacrifice... that is the difference between you and I. That way of thinking...''

Derek looked saddened.

Skiv raised an eyebrow and stared into his eyes

"Now's whats that supposed to mean?"

''What would you be willing to sacrifice for the thing you cared most'' was all Derek added.

Skiv stopped stroking Harkin's hair and stood up.

"Anything and everything" he said coldly as the wounds on his body finished healing

''What would you then give for your son's life? Or hers?''

Skiv was silent for a moment, then finally spoke

"Anything as long as it could actually do anything, and attacking Tsecti would just get them killed."

''I never said to attack him, I said to protect your child when the time comes''

Skiv looked down at the ground

"i will defend from real dangers but Tsecti is somthing i cant defend the child from, it is his or her purpose"

''No, because I will end Tetsci, thus the purpose. And you should be well to be there for your child when it happens. Protect him, with your life... I do not know if I should say this to you... but I already feel a greater potential in you than anything that Tetsci could ever achieve.''

And with that, Derek turned arround and was about to leave.

Skiv sat back down and watched him start to leave, he just put his head back down and sighed heavily

"I wish i could believe you"

Derek turned once more.

''You can't. Or else you would lose your advantage.''

Derek added with a smile.

''You will see in time. Even Tetsci would not expect it. And that is precisely what should happen''.

Harkin frowned and looked over at Skiv from where she sat on the edge of the bed. "Skiv..." She sighed and looked at the floor for a moment. "I dont know who that man was... Or who the other was... But by the looks of it, you need to be by your master's side... For now anyways." She looked over into his eyes sadly. "I probably wont live to see our child grow. But there is a chance that you will... I dont want him to grow up without a father. I see how it hurts you, so I dont want it to happen to him.. Stay by Tsecti's side... Maybe in the future, there will be a chance for you to strike him down... But not right now." She bit her lip and studied his eyes for a moment. "... Do you understand?"

Skiv looked over at her

"yes i understand. I just wish there was some way for me to make Tsecti understand without fighting. He's done alot for me and i wish i could help him, but i doubt i can. One thing is sure though we need him for Maku"

She nodded and laid down beside him. "I know love.. I'll talk to him next time I see him." She kissed his cheek and sighed softly, closing her eyes and snuggling up to him. "Who is that Maku man?"

Skiv thought about it for a few seconds

"well he's the son of man who was an ally to y Father and Tsecti but now him and Tsecti hate each other. But the wierd thing is i saw him a few months ago and he was atleast afew years younger and was alot weaker then me" he then shrugged

She sighed and opened her eyes a bit. "What do you make of all this new power."

Skiv shrugged

"Well it appears to be the Sky father power, but his father has them and wont get them till his father is dead, which he isn't otherwise evryone in this world would know and Tsecti would've mentioned it since he constantlyis keeping an eye on him"

Harkin nodded and smiled happily. "Well as long as you're with me I dont care what happens."

Skiv smiled

"Me too, i really wish that it could stay like this" he paused and looked into her eyes for a few moments before looking away

"should we go tell Tsecti what happened"
