HERO HIGH 2 - The Mystery

She frowned and quickly looked him over. "What happened?" She put her hand on his cheek and watched the smoke come out of his mouth. "Are you ok?"

Skiv slowly placed her hand in his and looked in her eyes.

"I absorbed Tsecti's essence when he died" his voice had become normal again

Derek stood up.

''My job here is done. Something is wrong. I will return soon''.

And with that he was gone.

due to his absence, andrew immediately noticed the changes the school had been through...nothing of immense consequence, but all the same it was slightly unnerving..not wanted to see what else awaited him the lightning-spawn teleported to the gym, hoping to see someone there...

"So... He's gone.. Just like that... The one guy who could possibly help us with this Maku guy, is dead.. Just like that?!" She reached up and rubbed her eyes. "I'm pregnant with a child I'm not ready for... And the man who wanted it.... IS DEAD!.. And I didnt even get a word in about him slaughtering my people and destroying my temple!.... OOOOOOh when I get my hands on that Derek man I'm going to just..." She growled as blue electricity danced over her body. Eventually she sighed and her body relaxed. "Damn him... This isnt fair."

Aaron stood inside the gym looking at the lights.At the sound of Andrew's portal opening Aaron closed his eyes."So Uncle Drew...what's been up with ya."He had forgot if Andrew liked or disliked the nickname Drew."So I'm more than sure you've seen all the crappy stuff thats been happening around here latly.Like lizard men and my mom being an few months away from birthing me.We'll it's about 8 months to be exact.Also Dad and uncle Jordan are or were about to kill eachother,and then there's Ben's hot new little play buddy.So where's Auntie Jane?"

"1. dont call me drew, 2. yea im aware, 3. no idea" andrew answered...."where is your mom? i need to speak with her.."

Skiv smilied as he stared at Harkin

"I know its alot of stuff happening so fast. But don't worry Derek will pay, and now Tsecti's powers and being have passed on to me" He placed his hands around her waist

Aaron look out an small coin and tossed it into the air."Well well quite forward arnt we today.So why don't you like the nickname Drew, and do all my uncles have to be so lame.I can't call uncle Jordan uncle Jay,I can't call you Drew,I can't call uncle Ben uncle Benny...well there is uncle Blyze but that's like already an nickname can't break it down much farther than that.Anyway Mom.? Not sure where she is."

Harkin sighed and closed her eyes, resting her head on his shoulder and slowly trying to take in what all had just happened. "Yeah... So you're stronger now?" She opened her eyes and looked up at him, a faint smile on her face.

Skiv slowly nodded all the while still exhaling his thin blue smoke

"I think he planned this , well maybe not this exactly but the way he just gave in seemed like he wanted it this way" Skiv said calmly

She frowned and reached up, running her fingers gently over his lips; letting the smoke run between her fingers. "What would make him do something like that? After all he's done.. He's suppose to be cold hearted.... And then he just gave in and freed us like this."

Skiv paused for a moment then shrugged

"Who knows he was never one to really let anyone udnerstand him, well almost no one"

She raised a brow and smiled. "Almost?" Her hand reached around to the back of his neck. She tilted his head forward and kissed his forehead, whispering to him as her lips hovered near his skin. "Our child is free."

Skiv smiled and placed his hand on her stomach

"thats ture, it is" he then went silent and the smile faded, he then began staring at the ground

"I don't know what to do anymore, my whole life i've been led and now i'm lost"

She frowned at his words and took his hand in hers. "Are you? Are you really lost? Alone? Has everyone left you?.." Her frown faded and now she smiled lovingly up at him. ".. No love. I am here. You're father is here... Tsecti is here... You are not lost.. And you are not alone. You have only just been found." When she spoke of his father and Tsecti she poked him in the chest.

Skiv looked at her and chuckled as she poked his chest

"Yea you're right they're in me, and you're with me. So should we go back to our temple or should i try to patch things up with the staff here since i'm now in Tsecti's postion"

Harkin sighed and rubbed her eyes. "I'm sure they know. Word will spread quickly. I'll have to come back soon anyways to resume teaching... So it is your choice.. Though I dont think it would be safe to return to the temple yet.. I'm not sure though."

Skiv rubbed his chin and titkled his head as he thought for a few moments

"You're right the temple could be trapped or enimies could be waiting there. But then again no where is really safe at the moment"

Harkin closed her eyes and nodded gravely. "That is true..." Her eyes opened and she stared at the ground as she thought.. Eventually she gave in and looked up at him. "What do you think we should do, love?"
